CHAPTER 7

~ 2 years later ~

"Alpha, we've been planning to attack them from the left side of the forest. We still couldn't locate them, however, we guess they lived on the left side of the forest. One of my men said they saw a child and woman walking there and they were wearing dark green which is the main color of rogues" Left side of the forest? Isn't the left side the most dangerous? And a woman and a child? Tsk... it doesn't matter gender or age, rogues are rogues!

"Doesn't matter... kill every rogue you'll face. Ignore the gender or age." I said, making them a bit hesitant.

I know killing women and children is unnecessary and cruel but when those women's men and the children's fathers attacked a school, they didn't care about the age of the children they brutally killed to show me their power. Thirty children were killed and they are all around seven years old. What about their parents?
How am I going to face my people if I don't get revenge and do justice for dead souls?

"Understood Alpha. We will proceed with it"

Namjoon, the alpha of the Mountain Moon pack said. He knows the pain of losing his people since he experienced a rogue attack so he will follow my orders with no argument. Then I looked at the rest of the Alphas present at my table as they also bowed their heads and agreed with me.

"Da~daddy.... see?"

Out of nowhere, I heard the familiar childish voice that I listen to every day of my life. I looked at the entrance of the door as he jogged into the discussion room holding a red fox pup. I pressed my lips together as he came to me giggling so happily. I couldn't help but smile. He's cute... he's freaking cute.

"Where did you find him?"

I took him to my lap and asked. I hope he hasn't run into the forest like he did a few days ago. He looked at me and shook his head. His eyes are so adorable. Although the color of his eyes is the same as mine, the shape of them reminded me of his mother. When someone looks at him, they all say he looks like me but am I the only one who sees how similar he is to her? He looks like her.

"I think my son gave it to him. He found three fox cubs yesterday and their mother was found dead."

I glanced at Namjoon who was smiling looking at Ayaan. His son? "Thank you and I'm sorry for the disturbance this little guy gave us," I said but all the Alphas here are fathers and they understand the situation very well.
They shook their heads saying that it was fine. I put Ayaan on the floor as he began to play with the fox cub who was also interested in him. While he did that, we began to discuss.

After all the Alphas were gone, I looked at my son. Both he and his new pet are sleeping on the floor. I sighed and picked him up from the floor along with his fox, taking him to the room. As I walked Martha hurried her steps towards me.

"Alpha, I'm sorry. I tried to stop him but he came to you" She looked guilty. She knows that I don't like it when someone disturbs me while I'm with other alphas. But that's totally fine. This is my son and I like it when he disturbs me or comes to me.

"It's okay... he came to show me his new pet," I said entering the room and placing him on the bed. However, the fox is awake.

"Here, go sleep anywhere you want but not on his body"

I let go of it. Watching Ayaan's sleeping face for a while, I left the room. When I came downstairs, wanting to go out, I saw Jennie. She's sitting on the sofa. Probably waiting for me.

"What brings you here?" I grabbed my coat and wore it. She immediately came to me and hugged my arm looking up at me with puppy eyes which are struggling to show innocence.

"Can we go out? Tonight... please?" She pouted her lips. I took a deep breath and removed her hands from my arm. I don't like her touch. I never liked her touch.

"No. Ayaan needs me at night. He won't fall asleep without me." The simple reason for me to reject her. Actually, he doesn't fall asleep without me and even though he falls asleep without me, I won't leave my son alone and go out with a woman. Jennie's face turned ugly. She stared at me for a while and clenched her jaws. I know she's angry... and that anger has nothing to do with me.

"Jungkook, are you his dad or his servant? Are you always spending every minute of your life with him? He should know how to live alone! Don't you want to enjoy your life? It feels as if you are trapped in this house after this child came into our lives! Just go out with me. Please..."

Trapped? I am fucking willing to get trapped in this house with my son. I don't want any more regrets in my life so l am spending every fucking minute I have with him. So I won't have to be sad just like it happened two years ago.

"The child didn't come into our lives. The child only came into my life and you should understand it. You are free to go out and enjoy yourself but I'm not going with you. However, stop coming here for so many reasons Jennie. I called off our engagement two years ago. So stop coming after me at least now. No matter how you come, I won't marry you"

Her eyes turned red and tears filled in her eyes. She should know her limits and stop bothering me. Even after two years, she's still following me and annoying me asking me to start over.

"Why? Why are you hurting me like this? You had no reason to call off our engagement. Why did you do it... you still didn't give me a valid reason" She began to cry clutching my shirt. A reason? Does she think I don't have reasons? Why does she think I am a man who does things without a reason? Am I unreasonable? No! I am fucking reasonable.

"You want to know?" I asked her.

She glanced up at me and nodded, wiping her tears. "It was because I saw what you did to her. You fucking hit her head against the mirror ignoring how dangerously it can affect her. You slapped her, pulled her hair, and threatened to kill her. I saw how rude and disgusting you can be Jennie. As a woman, I never expected that kind of ruthlessness from you. You literally made her stay unconscious for a day."

"And how can I expect you to be a good mother to Ayaan when you treated his biological mother like that? How can I trust you with my son? You will treat him in the same way you did to her! And if I ever see a little scratch on his body, I will kill you and murder your whole family. So isn't it better to remove you from my life rather than becoming a man who can't protect his son?" She looked surprised but that's the truth. I will never be able to forget what I saw when I ran into the room.

I saw her face covered in blood and she was whimpering from the pain. It was obvious she didn't even have time to defend herself.
Jennie attacked her like a mad bitch. And that day I found out she was pregnant. I really don't want my son to go through what his mother went through. That's why I'm protecting him and giving him attention which I couldn't give the person who gave birth to him.

"Are you... are you turning me down because of that thing? She's a surrogate!!!! Not your woman or anyone! How could you... remove me from your life just because I hurt her? I was lost when I found out about it... that's why I did it. It wasn't intentional! She wasn't a woman who you should care about! She was no one to you! Don't be unreasonable!"

I wouldn't have been this serious if she wasn't my mate.

"You can't say she's no one when she's literally my son's mother! Just leave! Don't fucking ruin my mood, Kim Jennie!" I walked away. Jennie is so fucking annoying and I don't understand why she still runs after me.

"You can't be serious! How could you take that woman's side when she did everything for money? Her innocent looks have brainwashed you. And even after two years? Are you crazy Jungkook?"

"Money or not! I don't fucking care. The thing here is that you will never love Ayaan as a mother. You try to be good to him just because you want me to marry you. I'm not a fool Jennie. I'll give you ten seconds to leave my house!" She left. But I know she's shameless enough to come to me again. She will come again trying to seduce me.
