Jungkook woke up feeling a pair of arms hugging his torso. His first thought was that it was Iseul, causing a surge of fear and overthinking to course through him. He lay still, afraid to look down and confirm his suspicions, his mind racing with thoughts of another confrontation or cold words.

Slowly, he gathered the courage to peek down, bracing himself for the worst. But what he saw made his heart beat a little faster. It wasn't Iseul. It was Jimin.

Jungkook let out a silent breath of relief, his body relaxing as he took in the sight of his best friend. Jimin's face was peaceful, framed by the soft glow of the morning light filtering through the curtains.

His hair was tousled, giving him an even more angelic appearance. The way his features softened in sleep, the gentle rise and fall of his chest, and the warmth radiating from his embrace, all of it made Jimin look like a serene, ethereal being.

Jungkook couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and calm wash over him. The fear and tension from moments before melted away, replaced by an unfamiliar but welcome warmth in his chest. He watched Jimin for a moment longer, marveling at how someone could look so effortlessly beautiful and pure.

As Jimin stirred slightly, his grip on Jungkook's torso tightening briefly before relaxing again, Jungkook's heart fluttered.

He realized that this simple, innocent moment meant more to him than he had initially understood. The comfort of Jimin's presence, the feeling of being cared for and understood—it was something he hadn't felt in a long time.

Jungkook closed his eyes again, savoring the moment and the feeling of Jimin's arms around him. For the first time in a while, he felt peace, and he knew it was because of the person lying next to him.

A few moments later, Jimin stirred, blinking awake. His gaze fell on Jungkook's face, taking in his features. Even in sleep, Jungkook looked handsome as ever, his jawline defined, his eyelashes long and delicate against his cheeks. Jimin found himself lost in the moment, appreciating the sharp features on Jungkook's face.

Suddenly, Jungkook's eyes fluttered open, catching Jimin off guard. "Take a picture, it'll last longer, Jimin," Jungkook teased, a playful smirk forming on his lips.

Jimin flushed, embarrassed at being caught staring. "Yah! I'm older than you, Kookie!" he retorted, trying to regain his composure.

Jungkook's eyes lit up with amusement. "Say that again?" he teased, leaning in closer.

"No!" Jimin exclaimed, his face turning even redder.

Jungkook laughed, the sound filling the room with a warmth that made Jimin's heart skip a beat. The peaceful surrounding and a familiar feeling felt like a soothing pill to Jungkook's troubled mind, a reminder of the bond they shared.

"You're such a brat," Jimin muttered, but he couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips.

"And you're a terrible liar," Jungkook shot back, still chuckling.

Jimin rolled his eyes, but the affection in his gaze was undeniable. "Come on, let's get some breakfast. You need to eat something," he said, nudging Jungkook gently.

Jungkook nodded, feeling a lightness in his chest that had been absent for too long. "Okay, hyung," he replied, the term of respect slipping out naturally, drawing another round of playful teasing from Jimin as they got up to face the day together.

As they moved to the kitchen, Jimin focused with preparing breakfast. The sound of sizzling eggs and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, creating a comforting atmosphere. Jungkook leaned against the counter, watching Jimin with a faint smile.
