Chapter 4

Author's POV

The moment they both arrived infront of the door of Jieun's condo unit, Gaeul immediately pressed the doorbell as she and Chaehyun waited, and then a few seconds later, they were welcomed by Jieun's dad as they came inside.

"Hi uncle!", Gaeul said.
"Hi ladies! Come inside!", Jieun's dad told them as they both entered their condo unit.
"Uncle.. where's Jieun?", Chaehyun asked.
"Jieun? She's—", her dad said, only to be interrupted by Jieun who came out from her bedroom.
"Hey guys!", Jieun said.
"Oh! There she is!", her dad said as Gaeul and Chaehyun laughed.
"There you are! Shall we go?", Gaeul asked Jieun.
"Mhm! I'm ready! By the way.. if you want some drinks or snacks, payment's on me today like what I promised!", Jieun said.
"Nice! I guess we'll take our leave now, uncle!", Chaehyun said.
"I'll see you later dad!", Jieun said.
"Take care of yourselves ladies! And don't be late!", Jieun's dad told them.
"We will, dad!", Jieun said as she and her friends left the unit.
"Damn! I didn't expect that your condominium unit is big and spacious!", Chaehyun said.
"Yeah! I feel like the three of us could actually fit inside though!", Gaeul said.
"Now I want to reside in a condominium like this someday!", Chaehyun said as they rode the elevator.
"Let's go to the mall, shall we?", Jieun said as they got out of the elevator and left.

The three of them immediately left Jieun's condominium to go to the mall. It's been a while since we went to the mall together, and today, I'll treat them with delicious food! Jieun happily thought to herself. 15 minutes later, they finally arrived at the mall.

"Where should we eat?", Jieun asked her friends.
"I don't know? The payment's on you today, so you should decide!", Gaeul told her.
"Alright then! Do you guys want to eat in that steak house restaurant?", Jieun asked them.
"Yeah! I've always wanted to eat there, but I don't have enough time since we're too busy with school.", Chaehyun said.
"Why not? I've been craving for steak since last week!", Gaeul said.
"Then the steak house restaurant it is!", Jieun said.

Jieun's POV

"Thanks for the treat, Jieunie!", Chaehyun told me as we began eating our dish.
"Yeah! It's been a while since the last time I ate steak!", Gaeul said as she took a bite of her steak.
"It's nothing! And besides... I owe you a lot guys!", I said.
"Gaeul and I are always here for you no matter what happens!", Chaehyun told me.
"I won't let any dickhead, break your heart or hurt you in so many different ways ever again!", Gaeul said.
"And if that happens.. I'm sorry but we'll probably encourage you to learn self defense this time!", Chaehyun jokingly said as we all laughed.

And as we continued to laugh and bicker, I can immediately see my ex, along with his girlfriend, taking a seat on the other side of the table apart from us. You gotta be kidding me! I thought to myself as I just brushed it all off and focused on hanging out with my friends.

"Something wrong?", Gaeul asked me.
"Apparently, my ex is also here, but I don't give a single damn about him anyway!", I said as they turned to look at Jisung on the other side of the table.
"Did he really need to follow you all the way here?", Chaehyun said in annoyance.
"I don't think he knows that we're here..", Gaeul said.

A few minutes later, I immediately decided to pay already since we're all done eating. After paying, we immediately decided to leave the restaurant before it gets annoying for because of someone's mere presence.

"Oh! I didn't know you guys were also here!", Jisung suddenly said.
"So what if we're here?! It's none of your concern anyway!", Gaeul said as she snapped.
"I was just saying! By the way.. my girlfriend!", he said as the girl waved to us. The audacity I swear!
"As if we're interested on getting to know her!", Chaehyun said as she dragged Gaeul and I out of the restaurant.
