Please God. Not him.

Not my Aman. You have taken so much away from me. Not him too.

Please.

He's the only good thing in my life right now. I can't even imagine how I'll live without him. Without his smiles, tauntings, care.

A wounded sob falls from my mouth as I cry in the back seat of the car. I instructed the driver to make it fast as I keep praying to keep my husband away from harm.

Tears flows down my face without a stop as I console myself that he's safe. Nothing will happen to him.

What if something happened?

My mind screams at me to stop thinking those thoughts.

He's alright. He's alright. He's alright.

I chant wiping my face free from tears. The Healthcare hospital comes into view as I climb down the car before it stops.

I don't think my mind works right now. There's nothing inside it except for one thing.

Find him.

I climb the steps fastly and look to my left and right searching for the reception. When I find a girl sitting in the corner in a cabin, I run towards her.

Looking at my state her eyes widen "Ma'am are you alri-" before she finishes I swallow my tight throat and ask, "Aman Mehra."

She looks confused at first and then realization dawns on her. She soon clicks on the mouse and finds the detail recorded in the computer.

"3rd floor. Room 2B." She says and I run off towards the elevator without even thanking her. I am not in a state to niceties right now.

I stop before the elevator and press the button.

Come on. Come on. Come on.

It's still in the 8th floor. I release a frustrated cry and search around me for the stairs. When I find it I climb it holding my breath. After what felt like a never ending cycle of stairs I enter the 4th floor holding the banister tight from falling apart.

I wipe my eyes as I search for room 2B. Where the hell is it? There is a glass door on my left as someone opens it I see a door within it.

2B.

I push in before the door closes and then open the door to the room the receptionist told that Aman was staying.

I search inside and notice him standing with a bandage wrapped around his forehead. He's talking with someone on his phone but hearing the door open he glances up and surprise flashes in his midnight black eyes.
