A Change Of Heart

Layla's POV
I woke up after having the most wonderful sleep, the most wonderful dreams, and got ready for the most wonderful day! Jess has a date with a guy from our high school. That means I'm stuck finishing my room by myself for at least 3 hours. I grab toilet paper out of the bin under my bed and bring it to the bathroom. Once I'm done with my "business", I grab the whole bin and bring it to the bathroom. Since the theme in my bedroom was modern, so was my bathroom! I got bright shower curtains, a couple towels, a matching bathroom rug, one of those cool seat cover things, a lot of makeup, hair curler, straightening iron, crimper, a hair dryer, face wash, acne cleanser, a jewelry bar (filled), and last but not least...wait never mind that's it! I kinda got excited and kept going, Jess is rubbing off on me. I sit at my desk and watch YouTube on my computer. Maybe I should make a YouTube Channel! I'll call it "Layla Love", I'll probably just sing, do vlogs, do comedy's, parodies, and tutorials. I decided I'd wait for Jess until I start my first vid. Jess still hasn't seen my room ever since I started decorating. I've seen hers and it's awesome, but I like mine more. My room is more...me! I'm actually kind of bored with Jess gone. I wonder what she up to...
Jess's POV
OMG!!! I'm going on a date with Troy!!! He was super popular in high school! I don't know what he's like but our babies would be perfect and a legacy is what I'm working on here! He's probably just as perfect as he looks! We get to Benihana, that's a famous and fancy restaurant where they cook the food right in front of you. They do tricks and everything! Our reservation isn't for 5 minutes so I'm assuming he'll be here around then. After I hook myself up, my next mission is Layla. She hasn't dated since... you know. Lay would want someone like Aaron. He was funny, nice, laid back, confident (but not cocky), and he was a singer. Just like Lay!!! I want her to be just as happy as she was with him. Ever since the car crash she has been so different. I miss the old Lay, the only reason I haven't ditched her yet is...

4-losing her would be like losing a sister!
Finally Troy gets here! Get this, I'm wearing a dress and he's wearing normal clothes! What the hell!!! Whatever so we sit down and I order a fried salad, he orders chicken and rice, and we watch. "I could totally do that knife trick!" He bragged in a funny way. "Yeah I'm sure you could, just make sure to wear a helmet, steel gloves, and a full body suit while your at it!" I was being sarcastic. He doesn't laugh, he just smiles. Ugh he reminds me of Aaron, Aaron was my best friend along with Lay. Although... Aaron was annoying at times. We talk and laugh. I start to feel like I don't like him that way. He seems like a good friend, I can tell he feels the same way. Once we finish, he drives me home even though I have a car, I'll have Linda get it later. As soon as cheerleader (a song) turns on, Aaron, I mean Troy starts singing it. He's pretty good! We get home and he walks me to the door, I ask him to come in. I'm still not sure how I feel about Troy.
Troy's POV
Jessica was really nice. But I wasn't into her anymore. She's not my type. We walk in and she brings me upstairs through an elevator to the second floor of 4. Did I mention this place is HUGE! I ask if the room we're at is her room, but she says that it's her friends. She knocks 3 times. Why 3? 5 would be better. "Come in!" Yelled a girl in front of a desk watching Minecraft videos. She spins around in her chair and looks at me. "Is that your date Jess?" She asked. "Yeah but can I speak to you in private for a minute?" Jessica was rushing. I hope she won't talk crap about my clothes. I was running late because I had to watch my dog and I had no time to change.
Layla's POV
OMG he was so cute! But now that I think about dating I start to remember Aaron. I hold in my emotions and try to remain happy. "Lay I don't like him!" she whispered. "What? Why? You've been crushing on him since Freshman Year!" I was shocked. "I felt like I was on a date with..." she paused and made a grossed out face, "Aaron!" She exaggerated. My heart was pumping, the tears were coming in slowly, a drop landed on my lap until I wiped it away. I dried my eyes and realized that I wasn't over him. "Sorry, I shouldn't have brought him up." Jess apologized. "It's fine, I just need to get over the fact that he isn't coming back..." my voice trailed off. We go back to Troy and Jess starts talking about how nice he is. "I mean you are like comedic, and friendly, and Channing Tatum hot. But I think that you remind me too much of my deceased friend Aaron. It's too hard to be around someone who reminds you of your best friend who you know you will never see again." A tear runs down Jess's cheek. I start to think about how sad it will be to grow old with no husband. I decide to take action! "Troy?" I was scared out of my wits! "Yeah?" He looked like he knew exactly what I was about to say.
Troy's POV
I HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS GOING TO SAY!!! "Umm do you wanna go out on a date like tomorrow?" She looked so confident, "yeah, Benihana again?" I didn't like it there, I just figured she would. "Ew, no fancy places, how about Dave&Busters?" She was starting to sound pretty cool! "Yeah that would be awesome!" And with that I said my goodbyes, and I went home.

She was brave, strong, calm, and smart! She would be perfect! She is the chosen one, it is Layla's destiny to be a Trylith. I can't wait until tomorrow...
Layla's POV
I was excited for my date with Troy, but Jess was still staring at me with her mouth wide open. 😧 (Jess's Face). I told her that I couldn't stay alone my whole life. She looked at me like I'd just spoken after being mute since birth! I had no idea why I did it but I had to. Her face matched my brain. I couldn't believe he said yes! Jess is really freaked out, I hope she's not mad. I wish I knew what she was thinking...
Jess's POV
You wanna know what I was thinking? HOLY SHIT! I was mad because she stole my date, I was proud because I found her a guy, I was shocked because she asked him out, and I was happy because she was finally moving on. I couldn't believe it though. I was so shocked that I never even realized how amazeballs her room was! It was so modern. I haven't remodeled my room in 6 months! I need to get on that. I was so excited when Lay told me I could help with her channel! It would be mostly singing. Lay is like the best singer ever! Also I was going to be a pianist some day for One Direction, Harry will be mine😈! Me and Lay decided that we just HAD to chill at the pool now, we stayed for a while. "Hey Jess?" Lay asked. "Yeah?" I answered. Dare I say I was feeling super sexy that day! "You aren't mad about my date with Troy right?" She looked disappointed, I could tell she felt guilty. "No of course not. I've never been prouder of you!" I felt like a therapist lol! When we went back inside, I was sunburnt. It's just not fair! Lay tans perfectly, she's freaking golden! I'm just red! It's not fair. We both took showers and got ready for dinner. We were going out with with one of the actors in my dads movie! Guess who it is, go on guess. Nope, give up?...........................................................................................................................CHANNING TATUM!!! Can you believe it! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Lay was completely unfazed. When we got there we sat down and guess what lay said..."who's that?" WHAT THE HELL!!! Channing was talking but it's not like I was listening, I just stared at his beautiful face. I payed attention when he did his famous "My name is Jeff" impression! It made my heart melt.
Lay's POV
I don't understand what this guy is doing. He just said his name was Jeff, I thought his name was Channing! After the dinner we went home and I put together my outfit for my date tomorrow!
