Authors POV
It was a hot sunny day out. It had been three weeks since you'd met Candy, Grenda, Dipper and Mabel. You had even met Pacifica when you had gone out to the mall with Mabel and Candy. She was nice, for the most part, though you had just assumed being spoiled was her nature since no one else seemed to mind that she complained about being moved from two hot tubs to one, along with her pool.Since meeting everyone, you'd begun to form your own opinions about them. Candy was sweet, and sure she said a few strange things from time to time, but that seemed to be the reason she fit in so well here at Gravity Falls. She was more timid than the rest, and that made it easy for you to talk to her. Grenda was a bit more forward, and sometimes that caught you off guard. She was very passionate though, and it was easy to tell what she was feeling, so maybe that was a good thing.
Mabel was sweet, and a little bit more excited than the rest. She was more prone to doing odd things rather than just saying them, but that was what her and Grenda seemed to have in common. She had tried getting you to drink her Mabel Juice, but Dipper had advised against it. He excused that it wasn't safe, or anywhere near healthy and digestible. Dipper was the only one who seemed semi-normal. He was nice, and awkward, seemingly always with sweaty palms, but everyone has something you assumed. He did tend to stutter a bit more around you, but you also hadn't known him for long, so that wasn't so odd to you. He was comfortable to talk too, though he had the habit of staring at your eyes intently for a bit longer than you'd liked. He'd done the same when you first met him, and it seemed only after you shook his hand did he relax a bit more. That was the only odd thing about him. Just a bit paranoid, a bit more than most. But, with how weird Gravity Falls was, you weren't all that surprised, so that brought him back down to semi-normal.
While being friends with everyone else, you'd also met Wendy, who was really calm and very welcoming. She seemed like the only real normal person in Gravity Falls, but you'd decided to give it a bit before you found something weird out about her too. Robbie was, nice enough, though he wasn't really nice to anyone else so that wasn't odd for him either. Mabel had explained Robbie and Wendy had dated a few years back, but then he got with her best friend, and they'd been a bit off since. But slowly they were repairing their friendship and that seemed to suit Mabel just fine. Soos, being the owner of the Mystery Shack, was really nice. He was friendly, and was an even better sales person. He had given you a personal tour of the Mystery Shack and told you how he'd become the owner. Which then led to you meeting the twins Grunkle Stan, and their Great Uncle Ford. Ford, like Dipper, had stared a bit too intently at your eyes for your liking, but tried your best to ignore it, you didn't want to be rude. Grunkle Stan was as nice as he could be, since he scolded the twins for not telling him they would be bringing a guest by. But he nodded to you and shook your hand quickly, disappearing into the living room to watch TV.
Mabel, Dipper, and Y/n were on their way back from an afternoon hike through the forest, with no luck in looking for a floating miniature whale they had heard someone in the town speaking of seeing. They were a few ways to the Mystery Shack when they heard faint, melodic music drifting through the trees. Intrigued, the three followed the sound, which led them deeper into the forest. The trees became thicker, and the air shimmered with a strange, otherworldly glow, specs of gold dust floating through the air as they made their way further through."Do you hear that?" Mabel asked, her eyes wide with excitement. "It sounds like a party!"
"A medieval party at that." Y/n added, glancing around curiously.
"Yeah, but where's it coming from?" Dipper wondered aloud, glancing around suspiciously.
Mabel stepped forward, her curiosity piqued. "Let's find out!" She said, speeding up and beginning to run through the forest, trying to find where the music was coming from. Dipper and Y/n ran after her, trying to catch up.
