BEEP BEEP BEEP

"Uggh annoying" you mumbled still half asleep as you pressed snooze in the alarm, sneaking in five more minutes of rest before starting the day.

The early morning sun was making its way through your half open curtains with a cool spring breeze. Through the window you could see a big tree full of cherry blossoms, close enough that their smell invaded the whole room. Not that it was a hard job, the place wasn't much. A medium sized desk with a still open laptop and some scattered papers on top of it, a pretty small closet (that was not being used based on the amount of clothes laying on the floor), a wooden nightstand with a couple of books replacing its missing leg and in the middle of everything a king sized bed, with you sleeping in it.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

"Alright, alright, I get it, see? I'm up... stupid alarm" you cursed, as you glared daggers at the inanimate object that dared to wake you.

With a big yawn and stretch you sat up slowly, still trying to figure out what day it was and why the hell was your alarm ringing on summer break. It took a couple of seconds but when realization finally hit you, your eyes shot open. Your warm feet hit the cold floor as you jumped out of bed to get out of you pajamas and into your brand new uniform.

"OKAY LETS DO THIS!" you exclaimed in your thoughts as you raised your fist in the air, because of that you were able to take a sniff of yourself and gagged "Okay, lets do this after I take a bath"

You jumped into the shower and washed yourself carefully thinking about the endless possibilities this day had ahead for you. After that you took your sweet time getting dressed, admiring every single piece of clothing; it was, after all, the uniform you've been dreaming of wearing since you could remember. You had a little trouble tying your tie because your old outfit didn't have one so you had literally no idea how to do it. You did it once, twice and after your third attempt, you looked at yourself in the mirror and thought, "fuck it, this will have to do" it was a little crooked and messier than you would have wanted but it was good enough. You stood there admiring yourself in the mirror for a couple minutes when you heard a knock on the door.

- "Hey nerd are you ready? You're gonna be la...." before the pain in the ass you called brother could finish opening the door you threw yourself at it, shutting it closed again and hitting his face in the process.

-"Jeez Kohaku, you're supposed to knock and then wait. What if I have been naked huh? Is that an image you want burnt into your brain? I don't fucking think so"

-"Ok, first of all, gross. Second, language. And third, excuse me for worrying, I was just trying to do you a goddam favor and not let you ruin you attendance on the very first day"

-"Don't worry, I think I can handle getting ready on my own" you said as you opened the door again.

Your big brother stood there watching you with big cartoon tears falling from his eyes.

-"You grew up so fast"

-"Oh shut up grandpa" You giggled and planted a quick kiss on his cheek before making your way downstairs.

The scent of bacon filled your senses even before you opened the kitchen door.

-"Something smells soooo good" you stated, drool practically dripping down your chin as you plopped down on the floor in front of a small table. Behind you entered Kohaku letting out an unhuman growl at the smell of breakfast as he sat next to you

-"What the hell was that noise? Why are you so weird?" you asked him, still cringing at the sound

He opted for the nonverbal answer punching you hard in the arm instead.
