Charlotte
When the morning of qualifying hits, I'm more than stressed about today and the next. I'm woken up by Logan slipping out of bed to get ready for the day.
"Good morning," I say groggily.
"Morning," he replies, grabbing all of his things to go change, leaving the room to do that.
I slip out of bed and check the weather. Gloomy, but I'm not surprised—it's the UK. I grab a pair of leggings and one of Logan's Williams hoodies and quickly change.
Logan comes back in and hugs me. "You look cute."
"Thanks," I say, smiling while sliding my paddock pass on.
"Mick's in the living room waiting for us, so we should probably go," he says, grabbing his stuff.
We walk out into the room and find Mick, then head out. As we reach the track, the media is all over us. We quickly walk by, and I head to the Mercedes garage because I promised Mick I'd hang with him today since I've been with Logan the past two weeks.
As I sit in the back of the garage, ready for qualifying, I find myself immersing myself in the event once it starts. It pays off as I get to see Logan make it into Q2. I smile wide and can't wait to congratulate him later.
As qualifying ends, I rush down the paddock to the Williams motorhome to wait for Logan. As soon as I see him walking back from media, I run at him to hug him.
"Congrats, love," I say, smiling.
"Thank you," he says, holding me tight. "Let me get changed and we can head back to my apartment."
I nod and wait for him outside, Mick joining me to wait for him.
On the way back to the apartment, we stop for some food. The conversation is light and filled with laughter, a perfect way to wind down after a tense day. We share stories from the day, Mick teasing Logan about his media interactions, and Logan playfully defending himself.
Once we get back to the apartment, the three of us settle in and decide to watch a movie. The atmosphere is relaxed, and we all sink into the comfortable couch, enjoying the break from the hectic day. Logan selects a comedy, and soon the room is filled with the sound of laughter.
Logan and Mick continue to banter throughout the movie, their playful jabs adding to the entertainment. I lean against Logan, feeling the day's stress melt away as we all share this moment of calm and camaraderie.
As the credits roll, I stretch and yawn, glancing at Logan and Mick. "Thanks for today, guys. I really needed this."
Logan squeezes my hand and smiles. "Anytime, Char."
Mick nods in agreement. "Yeah, it's been fun. We should do this more often."
We all share a warm smile, knowing that despite the pressures and challenges, moments like these make it all worthwhile.
