AFTER YOU HAD told him everything you witnessed and experienced, he told you why he wanted to talk to you in the first place, in which you expected already.
dynamight had told you that villains were appearing out of nowhere with the most dangerous quirks he'd ever seen. one of them was the tentacle monster that attacked you.
he didn't discuss the issue in detail, but he wanted to talk to you about anything you might know that could help. the heroes had a lead that they had attacked the hospital for a specific reason.
"it is the biggest hospital in japan and has a lot of supplies that you can't find just anywhere. maybe they were after something in particular?" you say.
that made him go deep into thought.
"or maybe they wanted to announce the power they have by attacking somewhere that has a lot of innocent people in one place," you suggest again.
he looked up at you and changed the subject. "where did the patients go?"
"most of them got transferred to different hospitals, but dr. shima, the manager of the hospital, has created a program for the patients to be taken care of somewhere else. in this program, nurses like me help out."
he nodded and got up from his seat. "that's all i need to know for now, but in case there's any new information i might need, could i get your number?" he practically shoved his phone in your face while he looked away.
you were shocked at this gesture. you knew it was for his work, but seeing him nervous to ask for it made you laugh in your head. dynamight being scared to ask for a girl's number.
"of course, i'll try to be as helpful as possible." you took his phone, put your number in, and saved your contact as "nurse lady 🩹."
he looked at his phone and smirked. "way to make your occupation your whole lifestyle."
"could say the same about you, mr. dynamight." you grinned back.
"call me bakugou," he said to you.
your eyes widened at this. "why?" wouldn't it be weird for you to call the number 2 hero by his name, especially since you two weren't close at all?
"my hero name is awesome as fuck, but it gets weird when that's all people address you as. i'd just prefer it," he said rather quickly.
"okay... i will," you say as you squinted, trying to remember what his name was from memory. you tried thinking of what the hospital papers said from when you treated him. you just remembered it started with a b... baisho?
now it was his turn to widen his eyes. "do you not know what my name is? how the hell do you not know the name of the number 2 hero?!"
"of course i do! it's baisho, right?" you hoped you guessed right but knew you didn't by the look on his face.
