Comic love in New York

Chapter 1

Seth Cohen has gone on vacation to New York to forget about Summer and their breakup for a while.
Seth Cohen is sitting at a table near the window, typing on his laptop and sipping a coffee. Dan Humphrey, fed up with the dramas of the Upper East Side, enters the café, carrying with him a backpack full of books. He watches the place looking for a free table and sees Seth, noticing his "Death Cab for Cutie" shirt.

Dan: (smiling) Good taste in music.

Seth: (looking up) Thank you. You too, are you a fan?

Dan: Yes, although I don't usually find many around here who know them.

Seth: (laughing) I say the same thing, but I'm from California. Perhaps it is not so rare.
Dan: (surprised) California? What brings you to Brooklyn?

Seth: A bit of adventure, I guess. I wanted to experience the big city, to get away from the dramas of Newport. Are you from here?

Dan: (nodding) Yes, born and raised in Brooklyn. But I understand the dramas. Life in Manhattan can be quite... Complicated.

Seth: (curious) What kind of complications?

Dan: (smiling wryly) Let's just say that the elites of the Upper East Side have their own ways of doing things... And I don't always fit in.

Seth: (laughing) Sounds familiar. In Newport, if you're not part of the circle, you're basically an alien. But, well, that's why I came here. He needed a change of scenery.

Dan: (nodding) Sometimes a change is what we need. By the way my name is Dan, Dan Humphrey

Seth:(Interested) My name is Seth Cohen, good to see if another day we can meet again and talk.

After this Seth got up from there regretting not having asked Dan for his number. And Dan wondering if they would really see each other again.
