Alastors Pov

"I never thought that I would see this place again." I think to myself as we pull into the driveway of my old childhood home.

It's been decades since I've seen this place. I only have very few fond memories of my life as a human. My mother was one of the kindest people you could have ever known. She would always smile even during the dark times. My father was an alcoholic and would take his anger out on my mother and myself. He was a pathetic excuse of a man and I put an end to him myself.

(Y/n) unlocks the front door and walks in, turning on the lights. A sense of familiarity washes over me as I step inside. It was exactly the way it was when my mother and I lived here back when I was alive other than being updated.

"If only mother could see this place. She'd be absolutely delighted to know that our home is in good hands." I think as I look around.

I was lost in my thoughts thinking about all of the good memories I had in this house, until they were interrupted by her voice.

"Um... Alastor... would you like anything to drink?" (Y/n) asks nervously.

I glance over to see that Husker has a cheap bottle of booze in his hands. How anyone can drink that horrible stuff is baffling. Everyone knows that whiskey, bourbon or any other liquor is better. She must notice the look of disgust on my face when I see that cheap booze in Huskers hands.

"I have some bourbon, whiskey, scotch, prosecco and brandy. That's about all that I have aside from water and coffee." She says.

"I believe a glass of whiskey will suffice my dear." I say, sitting down in the chair next to the fireplace.

"I'll be right back." She says cheerfully, walking back to the kitchen.

I slip back into my thoughts as I wait for her to return. I've never had an interest in women during my human life or in hell but now after meeting (y/n) for the first time I'm not so sure. I'm the radio demon, the most feared overlord in all of hell. I shouldn't be in love with her.

My thoughts are interrupted as (y/n) returns with a glass of whiskey in her hands and a shy smile on her face.

"One whiskey." She says, holding the glass in front of me.

"Thank you my dear." I say, looking into her eyes as my hand brushes against hers, taking the glass from her.

She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.

I hear a small chuckle coming from Husker and look over to see that he has a smug smile on his face as his eyes flick between us before he returns to drinking his cheap booze.

Wipe that grin off your face.

"Alastor, may I ask you something?" She says, gaining my attention.

"Of course my dear." I say

"Are you a demon?" She asks.

"I am." I say bluntly.

"Umm...c...could I see your real form? If that's alright." She says nervously, looking at the ground.

I take a sip from my glass as I process her request in my mind. After a few silent moments I came to a decision.

"As you wish my dear."

(Y/n's) Pov

"As you wish my dear." Alastor says as he sets his glass on the table and stands up.

I watch as his human form drops to reveal his true self. He's wearing a red suit with a white button down shirt, black harness and a bow tie. His rounded glasses are replaced with a monocle, sharp teeth, glowing red eyes, red and black hair, sporting a pair of ears and antlers.

"He looks like a deer. Could it be because he was shot on the hunting grounds since he was mistaken for one?" I think to myself as I look at him.

The thought of someone thinking that he was a deer causes my blood to boil as I tighten my hands into fists. I'm lost in my train of thought until I hear his voice.

"Darling, are you alright?" He asks, slight concern in his voice.

"I'm alright." I say, looking up at him.

I watch as he reaches for his glass of whiskey on the table, downing the rest of it and placing the empty glass back on the table.

"Well my dear, I'm afraid we must be going." He says, turning to Husker who's still drinking.

"Oh, wait, there's something I wanted you to see. I'll be right back." I say, rushing to my room.

I run inside and grab the picture sitting on my nightstand, taking it with me to the living room and giving it to Alastor. He takes the picture from my hands and looks at it. I hear his breath hitch in the back of his throat as I look at him, seeing his eyes filling with tears. He runs his fingers across the picture.

"Where did you get this?" He asks, never taking his eyes off of it.

"I found it sitting on the mantle above the fireplace after I moved in. I've had it sitting on my nightstand ever since. It wasn't until the next day that I found out that it was you and your mother." I say as he continues to stare at the photo.

We stand there for a few silent moments before he walks to my room and places it back on my nightstand, closing the door behind him as he leaves.

"You don't want it?" I ask as he approaches me.

"It'll be safer here with you." He says softly.

I can feel Husker rolling his eyes as he lets out a huff, causing Alastor to glare at him.

"Will I see you again?" I ask.

"I will come to see you when I can. But until then please be careful and try not to get caught or killed." He says, worry evident in his voice.

"I will." I say smiling at him.

He brings my hand up to his lips and kisses it, causing my heart to race as a portal opens up to which Husker walks through.

"Goodnight, darling." He says, dropping my hand.

"Goodnight." I mumble as I watch him walk away.

Don't go... please...

As soon as he steps through to the other side, the portal vanishes leaving me all alone. I make my way to my room to grab some fresh clothes and hop into the shower. After cleaning up I walk over to my bed and slip underneath the covers still feeling the lingering sensation of his lips on my hand from the kiss he left behind as I slowly slip into a deep sleep.

Why did I have to fall for you?
