Bruises and Caresses

Chapter 3

Eren obeyed Levi's request and walked over to the kitchen without saying a word, and prepared Levi a bowl of udon. "Here, Levi.." he said handing him the bowl, "I hope it's okay.." he said nervously. "It'll do." Levi said, taking to bowl from Eren's hands. "You're a good little obedient brat."  Eren remained silent. "Are you going to stand there all day?" Levi asked motioning for Eren to come sit next to him. Eren obeyed and sat next to Levi while still staying quiet. 

After finishing his meal, Levi handed his dish to Eren. "Would you like anything else..?" Eren asled. "No." Levi replied. "It's going on 11:30, I'd like to go to bed before morning." he said as he walked towards his and Eren's bedroom, "Do you need an invitation or something? I never said I wanted to sleep alone, brat." Eren followed Levi to their room. He crawled into their bed, still remaining quiet while facing his back towards Levi. Levi, on the other hand, wasn't too thrilled with having a back towards him. "Tch." he said, "Oi, face me." he commanded. Eren didn't move. "Hey, Eren, I said to look at me.." he said as he turned Eren over to face him. Eren didn't fight him, he just kept his gaze looking down away from Levi's. He could feel tears forming in the corners of his eyes, he tired to hold them back so Levi wouldn't notice. 

Eren curled his head into the pillow, soon enough, tears began to fall down his cheeks. He couldn't hold them back anymore. He tried his hardest to not make any noise as he cried softly on his pillow. After awhile, a small cry escaped from his mouth. Eren quickly covered his mouth, pretending to cough in hopes that Levi hand't of heard him, but it was too late. "Oi, Eren.." Levi said, "What's wrong?" Eren didn't reply and tried to hide his face in the pillow. "Eren, answer me." Levi said as he moved Eren's head from the pillow to find his tear soaked face. "Why are you crying?" again, Eren remained silent, trying not to look at Levi. "Hey, Eren. Answer me, what are you crying about?" Levi asked again. "Look at me." he demanded as he lifted Eren's chin up to face him. 

"Your face is a mess.. What's the matter?" 

"N-nothing.." Eren replied with a shaky voice. 

"Tch. What have I told you about lying?"

"Please don't hit me!!" Eren exclaimed with panic as he sat up. He saw the look of shock on Levi's face, he had never raised his voice at Levi before. Levi sat up and look at Eren, he was silent for a moment. "So, that's it.." he began. "You're scared of me, huh..?" 

Eren looked down at the bed sheets, mentsally preparing himself for a hard slap across his face. But instead to his surprise, instead of a hand to the face he found Levi's body meeting his in a tight hug. Eren sat still for a moment, a hug wasn't what he was expecting. He didn't know what else to do besides hug him back as he wrapped his arms around Levi and began to cry softly once more. After a moment Levi pulled away from the hug, "Eren.." he said, starring into Eren's eyes as he caressed his cheek, "I didn't realize.. I didn't realize you were so scared of me.. I just loose my temper too much and lash out on you when I shouldn't.." Levi paused for a moment. "But I.. You know how I care you.. how much I love you.. Please, I promise I can change, I swear I'll never lay another hand on you ever again, please Eren.. I'm so sorry, please, forgive me.." there was a long silence for a moment. "I love you, Eren.. Please, don't leave me.."

Eren pulled Levi close once more while crying into his shoulder, "I-I forgive you, Levi.." he began, "I-I love you too, I won't leave you, I promise..!"        

"Heh. Idiot..."
