I trudged through the library, devouring every word of my favorite novel. But, disaster struck – the last page was torn!

"Seriously?!" I muttered, frustration etched on my face.

As I rushed to class, lost in thought, I collided with someone.

"Ow!" a deep voice growled.

I gazed up at the culprit: tall, handsome, and chiseled features. But his annoyed expression quickly soured my admiration.

"What? Aren't you gonna say sorry?" he snapped.

"I am sorry for bumping into you, sir. I didn't notice the walkway was too narrow for you," I retorted, a hint of sarcasm creeping in.

His scowl deepened.

I hastily apologized and sprinted off, anxious not to be late.

"Ugh, why do handsome people have to be annoying?" I muttered.

As I entered class, Professor Lee hadn't arrived yet. I breathed a sigh of relief.

Hanna waved from the back, and I joined her.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Some annoying dude bumped into me," I replied, shaking my head.

Just then, Professor Lee walked in.

"Alright, class. Introduce yourselves."

As everyone finished, a disheveled figure burst in.

"I'm sorry, Professor. I got lost."

My eyes widened. It was the annoying guy!

"You?!" we exclaimed in unison.

Professor Lee intervened, "Mr., please introduce yourself after Rio."

I introduced myself, trying to ignore the unwelcome distraction.

Hanna whispered, "So, you know him?"

I rolled my eyes. "That annoying guy who bumped into me."

Makie, a classmate, interrupted my reverie.

"Rio!!!" Hanna shouted, breaking my trance.

As class ended, Hanna dragged me to the cafeteria.

"I'm starving!"

We devoured lunch and headed back to the library. I inquired about the torn book but got no answers.

Lost in thought, I strolled back to the cafeteria when someone called out.

"Hey, Rio! Wait up."

Makie approached, flashing a warm smile.

"Uhmm, yes? What do you need?"

"I'm Makie. Can I be your friend?" he asked shyly.

I agreed, and we rejoined Hanna.

Hanna teased Makie mercilessly, leaving me giggling.

"Alright, alright. Let's eat!"
