ZARA's P.O.V
Fredo
Ongoing..."Hmm, that's great news to hear. I'm glad you've figured it out"
I nod with a smile, "The puzzle pieces are coming together. It's only a matter of time that this exhibition becomes a reality"
"It indeed will be", he assures, "You wanna know what I think?"
"Yeah?"
"Being invited as a curator, alongside my fellow art dealers and collectors for this exhibition could be a great opportunity to put your friends, the local artists, on the map in this industry. We have a strong interest in buying and collaborating with talented artists. This could be a great partnership for everyone involved you know", he says.
His words hit me with a pang of excitement, "That sounds amazing Fredo. I'll surely invite you and your friends"
"Your passion and dedication are evident in every step you have taken to come this far Zara. And to me, that says a lot about how special this project means to you. It must be exciting, huh?", he expresses
A wide smile grows on my face, "It's actually addictive to constantly imagine seeing it become a reality, which is why I can't quit"
"That's impressive", he exclaims.
I chuckle, "Thank you"
"Anyway, thanks for keeping me in the loop with your progress. Good luck, alright?"
"Alright Fredo, Thank you"
"You welcome", he says before hanging up.
I put the phone down and take a deep breath. Today has been a good day for me. I proposed my collaboration with the local artists, and though it was nerve wrecking, it still turned out good. Which means I can go on a date with Jermaine now that I'm over and done with that. Also, Fredo's words of support just uplifted me with a sense of hope and excitment for this project's success.
The journey ahead is still long, but with the support from Fredo and the local artists, I know I'm on the right path to greatness. I just need to update the website hub-Royal Melanin-with information regarding the dates of the exhibition and deadlines for the art pieces to be ready for the event, the venue, as well as the theme/concept of the exhibition-to Uplift Dark-skinned Black Women.
I'll do all that when I come back later on, if not tomorrow morning as I continue with the work.
With that, I got up from my seat and prepared MamaYumi's Japanese tea. My skin has improved from consuming it-it has grew clearer and smoother, while also not falling to calm me down.
While stirring the tea, a knock on the door catches my attention.
Knock knock!
"I'm coming!", I place the cup down on the small table by the couch and stride over to the door.

She once said that alcohol is sacred in her space because it brings bad vibes and all that bullsh*t. So I had to be creative, and pour my wine into my pinkwater bottle with a straw coming out on top for sneaky sips-I need to drink alcohol by any means necessary.
