This story takes place at the California Institute of the Arts college...
It's evening time, after school hours: Nikko walks down the quiet halls, carrying his guitar in its case. He's on his way to his dorm room, when he hears a beautiful voice echoing from one of the rooms. He slows down his pace & follows the voice to one of the practice rooms. He peeks his head into the room & sees a pretty brunette-haired girl playing the piano...
She sings:
Hey, you're not alone,
I've also been through this hell of a life...ya know,
I also just wish to do it all over...again...start over, fix everything...
That I messed up, and just find my way...
Nikko smiles at her inspiring lyrics. He then loses grip on his guitar case & drops it loudly on the vinyl tile floor. The girl stops playing the piano & looks up at him startled. He looks at her sheepishly letting out a nervous laugh then picks up his guitar case & walks away quickly, shaking his head in embarrassment. She stands up from her seat & walks over to the place where he was standing. She watches him walk down the hall quickly. She smiles & looks at the ground blushing. When she's looking down, she sees a guitar pick. She assumes it's his. He already left so she picks up the guitar pick & puts it into her pocket, then goes back to playing on the piano...
Next day: The morning...
Zoe tells her friend Eric to tune his guitar while she practices her singing. Their good friend Riley walks into the rehearsal room all chipper...
Riley: Hey guys! How's everything going here?
Zoe: Well, we'd be doing a lot better if Eric would tune his guitar BEFORE rehearsal day *gives Eric a long hard stare*
Eric: Hey, I'm doing my best here, pick-less too! *continues to tune his guitar*
Zoe: Wow, great job, Er
Ril: Chill you two. I've got a pick right here, actually *hands it to Eric*
Eric: You don't play guitar...or do you? *confused*
Ril: Uh, I'm pretty sure you'd know if I played it
Zoe: Where'd you get that?
Ril: Well, I found it on the ground...
