After a long week filled with stress, both for me and Chester, he decided to spend the night at my place since his parents were too preoccupied.

As I started recounting the events of my hectic Monday, Chester's eyes lit up with eagerness, his voice filled with excitement. "You really should have joined the band, you know? I've said it before - you have an amazing voice!"

He paused for a moment, his tone shifting to something more earnest. "Truly, you should put your singing talents to good use. The prize money isn't bad either."

"Look, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I don't really have plans to join a band." I retorted, trying to brush off Chester's suggestion.

He chuckled softly, unfazed by my stubbornness. "Yeah, I know how you are. Congrats on making a friend, by the way!"

"Well, she did say she was looking forward to our friendship. So i am too, thanks."

he rolls his eyes and lays on the bed

"Hey, I thought of something fun we could do tonight," Chester said.

I raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

"There's a band performing later," he explained. "Instead of staying cooped up in your room all night, we should go."

A band performance? My interest piqued. "Sounds good. Who's playing?"

"It's a lineup of Filipino bands," Chester continued. "Orange & Lemons, Rivermaya, The Itchyworms. You know, the usual."

The thought of having to endure yet another awkward dinner in the presence of my mom and her new boyfriend made me eager to leave. Going out seemed much more appealing.

"Sure."

I grabbed my hair tie and handed it to Chester, who proceeded to brush through my hair effortlessly. He always offered to tie it for me, claiming he loved its silkiness.

Chester chuckled as he finished tying my hair.

"You have lovely hair, Velve." he said

"I know, anyway do we have to go now? it's a bit early." i complained

Chester glanced at his watch. "It is kind of early, but we can hang out at the amusement park until the show starts. Plus, we can grab something to eat."

"Okay then."

The amusement park was a busy place, filled with rides and the scent of delicious food. My mouth watered as I took in the sights and smells.

"Don't worry about the costs. I insisted on hanging out, so I've got it covered." he said

I nodded appreciatively. "Thanks, man."

He smiled and took my hand, leading me towards the ride area.

We both let out heavy breaths after we had finished riding several thrill rides for hours. I turned to look at Chester.
