Waking up in a bed that wasn't her own was really strange, but it was a nice bed, so she wasn't complaining.
She didn't have to get dressed as she had just slept in her clothes, her hair was the only issue and the hat covered up most of the bedhair issue, so she opened the door.
Only to open it directly into Thirteen's face.
The teen had went sprawling backwards and fell to the ground, his maps spilling out of his bag, "Oh! Sorry! I was going to know but I guess I have poor timing, aha!"
Twelve helped him up, "No worries..are you okay?"
"Yep! Totally okay, I trip and fall a lot and it takes some getting used to, don't worry!" He was shoving the maps back into the satchel when Eleven, clad in full armor, came up the stairs, looking aside to see Twelve laughing and helping him up.
Twelve felt a flicker of hope as Thirteen bounced to life, his energy infectious. "Alright! Let's get this adventure started!" He declared, nearly tripping over his own feet as he turned to Eleven.
"First things first," Eleven said, brushing her hair back with a teasing smile, "We need to get Chicken Nugget ready. He's always up for a ride."
"Who's that?" Twelve asked, confused.
"Eleven's horse!" Thirteen exclaimed, his eyes sparkling. "I can't wait to meet him!"
Eleven chuckled, leading the way to the stables. Twelve followed, glancing around at the towering castle walls that felt both comforting and intimidating. The vibrant banners flapped in the breeze, casting colorful shadows on the ground.
Inside the stables, Chicken Nugget was munching lazily on some hay. He looked up, his big eyes twinkling with mischief. "Hey, buddy!" Thirteen greeted, approaching him with a bright grin.
"Don't get too close," Eleven warned, though her tone was playful. "He has a tendency to startle near strangers."
Just as Thirteen reached out, Chicken Nugget turned, snorting and shuffling away. "See?" Eleven laughed, shaking her head.
"Alright, alright! I get it, I'm scary." Thirteen said, his hands up in mock surrender. "I'll let him get used to me."
Twelve giggled, feeling her worries lift a little as she watched their playful banter. The horse's antics reminded her of her own friends, and she could almost hear their laughter echoing back home.
Eleven slammed open the door, "Guys! I'm a terrible numberblock!"
Thirteen startled upon the door opening and Twelve put down her book, "What?"
The football player carefully laid down a bird on the table, shoving all the arts and crafts off and onto the floor, "I hit it with my football when it flew infront of the goal! I didn't mean to! But it won't get up!"
It weakly chirped and still failed to move, causing Eleven to make a strangled noise of disatisfaction, "See?!"
Twelve pat her, "It's okay. Just calm down. We can fix this."
Thirteen pat it gingerly, "Don't worry, it's gonna hurt for a bit, but it always gets better, I promise."
The super rectangle carefully guided Eleven's hand to the bird, "Just pet it, show it that you care. It'll know you're sorry."
"Who cares if I'm sorry!? It still got hit!"
Thirteen laughed, "If you guys forgave me for everytime I was sorry for accidentally causing trouble, then it can forgive you once, Eleven."
