Haechan's POV:

Today, it's today or never. I'll do it today. I kept on telling myself time and again that I'd finally confess my love to Y/N, my best friend.

I've had a crush on her since we met but was too ashamed to tell her thinking that it'd ruin our friendship. Though now I couldn't hold this secret anymore.

Instead of me forgetting everything and continuing with my life, my crush grew into genuine affection, torturing me in the process. Everytime I saw her became agonizing to my heart. Which is like almost everyday since we're friends.

And believe me I've tried the 'avoiding her' part but sadly it didn't work because not only is she difficult to avoid but she's also persistent.

So I've decided to just get ahead it with, obviously not expecting anything in return. Well, other than heartbreak and losing my best friend because of my stupid feelings. I wish I could just stop liking her like that. Trust me, if I could I would.

"Hyuck!" Y/N runs in my direction.

We've already greeted each other for the day as we've just met at our usual spot, the SM practice room. Since I'm always so busy with my activities, Y/N drops by everytime to hang out.

"How long is this one gonna take? I can't wait to hear what you've got to tell me." She says as her eyes sparkle.

Not feeling so confident, like always, I try to avoid the matter once again. "T-three, no thirty minutes, I think. Why? Are you leaving? "

This happens nowadays when I'm with her. Even though it's not a normal thing for me, Lee Haechan, to stumble upon my words. I always speak with pride and confidence. Even my cocky tone has started to disappear, replaced with desperation instead.

"Ugh, what is wrong with me. It's okay if you want to leave." I ramble on trying to rectify myself, but I'm only making it worse.

"No, I don't. In fact, I've got something to tell you too. Or better, I want to show you." She holds my hand out of excitement.

Unknowingly, I get startled a bit because of the adrenaline that surges through my body just from this single touch of hers.

"Umm, yeah sure. Let me finish practice then you can proceed with your revelation first." I break the contact immediately before joining the other members.

Y/N hasn't noticed that I've been acting extremely strange for the past couple of weeks and I'm hoping that she doesn't before I tell her. I just don't want her to find out the wrong way.

"Are you sure you don't want to tell me first?" She practically drags me down the stairs so that she can show me her surprise, that is waiting outside.

"Yeah I'm sure. Ladies first." I assure her.

"Okay, just be supportive." Y/N asks of me, which makes me a bit worried. We're about to step out of the company.

"Wait, are you coming out or something? Or maybe you're pregnant?!" Part of my personality returns at the wrong time.

"Haechan! Stop it!" She scolds me so I hold my hands up in surrender.

We finally step outside and I see one of my  company friends walking towards us. Or you can say co-worker but it'd be weird like that since we don't actually work together.
