Autumn POV

When I finished getting dressed. I was wearing black slacks and a white button up that shows off some cleavage of my black laced lingerie with black heels. My dreads in a bun on top of my head.

I heard the sound of a car horn beeping signaling Marcus was here. I grabbed my purse and headed down stairs. When I made it outside, I saw Marcus in his car talking to Ava outside the window. I roll my eyes at the sight. I walk to the passenger side and get in and not saying anything to either one of them.

"Well good morning to you, too gorgeous." Marcus said snarky. "I'll catch you later V." He says dapping her up.

"See you later Autumn." Ava said. I ignore her wit a scoff and Marcus drives off.

We've been driving in silence aside from his stereo playing Tupac. We reach a stop light and he turns to me. "So, like I don't mind giving you a ride but is there a reason V couldn't. I mean she lives with you." He said as a matter of fact.

I breathe out loud. "I'm mad at her right now. I don't really want to be around her. Thanks by the way. For the ride. You didn't have to." I said, giving him a faint smile.

He shook his head and smiled. "You don't need to thank me and actually I did have to." I looked at him with confusion. He begins to drive again. "We all know about your situation,  Autumn." He says taking a glance at me and then back to the road. Of course they do. "So when V asked me to give you a ride, I knew it was because you can't use any of your cards. And V isn't one to waste money so she wasn't going to spend money on one for you when she has friends like us."

I nodded in understanding. "Thanks anyway. I hope I'm not taking you in the opposite direction for where you have to be." I said realizing it's a work day and his studio is actually the opposite way.

He shook his head. "Nah. It's Monday, baby. I'm taking a break. I was just going to go to the gym, probably call one of many female companions, and chill."

I laughed. "Oh many huh? Is that supposed to make me want to like you more?" I said with raised eyebrows.

"Nah. I know my boundaries." I tilted my head and my brows knitted together."

"What do you mean?"

He shrugged. "I'm not blind. I see the way V looks at you. And the way she silently threatens me every time I flirt with you." He raised his hands in defense. "That's jokingly by the way I hope you never got uncomfortable or weird by it." I shook my head.

"I'm flattered by it actually. I spent 5 years with a guy who probably called me beautiful in only the first 2 and only when I wore makeup and dressed nice to his liking." He parked the car. I guess we made it. He looked at me solemnly. "So I guess. After being complimented by 4 strangers within such a short time frame and no effort, it feels nice. I appreciate it." I said putting my hand on his shoulder.

He nodded his head. "Of course. You never have to worry about not feeling beautiful around us, it's hard not to see it." He says sweetly.

I opened the door and thanked him again before I closed the door. I walked in and saw Kayla at the desk. "Hey Autumn. Who was that guy that dropped you off?" She asked curiously.

"That's Marcus. Ava's friend." I said placing my purse on the side of the desk and logging into my computer.

"He's cute. Does he have a girlfriend?" She leant close to me. Didn't this girl just fuck Ava? Now she wants to sleep with her best friend?

I shook my head. "I don't think so. He has many female companions according to him." I said with a slight chuckle thinking about how he basically called them hoes in a nice way.
