Olivia's POV
Ruby is now 9 months, she is eating baby food now, crawling around, holding onto the couch and coffee table to stand, she is not talking but babbling which is really cute. Today is Valentine's Day, we got a babysitter so Luke and I can go out on a date. I called my old friend Oliver, the guy I met in the store. I decided on a white, high low dress and black heels. I curled my hair and put on a goldy eye shadow and black winged eye liner and hot pink/red lipstick. I also put on my diamond heart necklace. (Link to outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/untitlted_69/set?id=167961929 ).I quickly changed Ruby and put her in a floral onesie, gave her her mini mouse pacifier and put her hair in little pig tails because it's finally long enough. I grabbed her hot pink and white blanket. (Link to outfit:http://www.polyvore.com/baby/set?id=167962445). I brought her down stairs and placed her in her jolly jumper with her blanket and turned on some cartoons for her. Luke just went to get ready and Oliver is going to be here any minute. I put together a few bottles and baby food. I wrote out instructions/ her schedule so he knows what to do. I heard Ruby start to cry. "I'm coming baby girl." I said and picked her up and bounced her a little. I gave her back her pacifier as she spit it out earlier and she lied her head on my shoulder and just sucked in her pacifier. I heard a knock on the door and I went and got it. "Hey Olivia." Oliver said. "Hey Oliver, this is Ruby, you can come on in." I said. As I closed the door Luke came down the stairs. "Luke, this is Oliver, Oliver this is my husband Luke." I said. Luke shook Oliver's hand. "Hey." Oliver said an smiled. "Hello." Luke said. "You all ready Olivia?" Luke asked me. "Yup, let me just fill Oliver in and get Ruby settled." I said. Luke grabbed the keys and waited at the front door. "Okay, so I wrote my number, Luke's number, Emma's number and Patty's number just in case. I have her schedule written down, I have her baby food and bottles ready so all you have to do is warm the milk up for 20-30 seconds just test it out on your wrist. And just warm her food up for 10 seconds, she likes it a little warm." I said. "Okay, got it." He said. "If she gets fussy make sure she has her blanket which is in her jolly jumper and her pacifier. She really likes Princess movies, they are all by the TV, they tend to calm her down. Also try bouncing her a little that help. When putting her to bed its best to rock her in the rocking chair in her room with the lights off and rub her back, then when she gets pretty sleepy just slowly put her in her crib and just rub her cheek a little, she likes that. She shouldn't wake up and she usually goes to bed pretty easily." I said quickly. "Okay, try not to worry, I got this." Oliver said. I handed over Ruby and she looked a little distressed. "I love you baby girl." I said and kissed her cheek. "Call me if you have any problems." I said. "I will, have a good night." He said. "Okay bye." I said and Luke and I left.
Luke took me to this beautiful vegan restaurant. It seemed pretty fancy, so the food is probably expensive. I ordered a simple salad and Luke got a vegetable casserole. We got some water and our meals took about 10 minutes to get here. "This is really nice Luke." I said. "It is, food is really good." He said and I nodded. "Thank you for taking me out Luke." I said. "Anytime Olivia." He said and I held his hand from across the table. We finished our dinner and then got some desert. Luke and I got a piece of cake to share, it was so good. "I had a really nice time Luke." I said. "Me too." He said and kissed me. "Let's go home, yeah?" Luke said and I nodded. We got into the car and drove home. I opened the door and I heard lovely silence. That means Oliver managed to get Ruby to sleep. Luke and I quietly walked in, I slipped off my shoes and so did Luke. I walked into the living room and Oliver was asleep on the couch. "You wanna go check on Ruby?" I whispered to Luke and he nodded and went upstairs. "Hey, Oliver, wake up." I said and shock him, his eyes slowly opened. "Hey..." He said sleepily. "How was your night?" He asked as he sat up. "It was really good." I said. "How was Ruby?" I asked. "She was really good, wasn't too fussy and she went to sleep pretty easily." He said. "Okay, that's good to hear." I said and opened my purse and grabbed a 20 and handed it to Oliver. "No no, it's fine you keep it." He said. "No I insist." I said. "Alright.." He said and took it and shoved it in his pocket. "Call me if you ever need a babysitter again." He said and smiled. "Okay, sounds good." I said and walked him to the door. "Thank you so so much Oliver." I said. "Anytime Olivia." He said. "Goodbye, I'll talk to you later." He said. "Bye Oliver." I said and closed and locked the door. I turned off all the lights and went upstairs. I went into my room and saw Luke passed out on the bed, hadn't even changed yet. "Lukey, baby, let's get you changed hunny." I said and tossed him some pyjama bottoms as he slowly woke up. I took off my dress and put on some pyjamas. Luke slowly got changed and then got into bed. I brushed my teeth and put my hair in a messy bun after taking off my make up. I got into bed and turned off my side table lamp. "Happy Valentine's Day Luke." I said and kissed him. "Goodnight Livvie." He said very sleepily and kissed my cheek and pulled me close. I closed my eyes and fell asleep pretty quickly.
