Mingyu stopped kissing me a couple of minutes ago, but my heart is still pounding. I'm convinced Mingyu can feel it as my chest is pressed into his side.

Despite our tangling kiss happening moments ago, it's already a tangled blur in my mind. I don't remember falling to the ground or getting rolled up in the picnic blanket. I can barely recall hugging Mingyu's side once he pulled away for good. The feel of Mingyu takes over any other thought.

Mingyu's arm wrapped around my waist, paired with the blanket, keeps away the harsh chill of midnight. Mingyu's other arm is propped behind his head while I use his chest as a cushion. It's surprisingly soft.

Above us, the stars glow with a brightness I've never seen before. I'd try to find the constellations if my mind was more focused.

This isn't my first time being with someone, but nothing compares to this—not even close. Mingyu's tenderness and passion are unlike anything I've seen in anyone else.

"Thank you for coming out with me," Mingyu whispers into my hair. His soft, breathy voice cuts through the otherwise silent night. "I've been picturing this for so long."

"I can't say I ever pictured this," I laugh. "But I've wanted to kiss you since I don't remember when." Admitting that to Mingyu makes my cheeks burn.

"Y/N." I don't think I'll ever tire of my name on his lips. Mingyu sits up, pulling away my pillow, but his hand stays on my waist. "You mean it when you say you like me?"

"Of course." I give Mingyu a puzzled look.

"You don't mind that I race? That's not a problem for you?"

I almost giggle. "If it was, would I be this into you?"

A smile creeps onto Mingyu's lips. "If you're that into me, I should be your boyfriend."

"You want to be my boyfriend?" I blurt out the words, shock overcoming me.

Mingyu leans over me, hovering right over me. I can feel his breath. "More than I want to kiss you." His lips dip down, placing a quick kiss on mine.

Everything about him takes my breath away. His eyes seem to sparkle stronger than the stars as he hangs above me. I've never felt lips so soft. And nobody has made me feel so strongly, not in love, anger, or sadness.

I wrap my arms around his neck. "You're the only person I've ever wanted in this way. Mingyu, I'd love to be your girlfriend." Before he can respond, and before I die of the mortification of revealing my feelings, I pull Mingyu into me, reigniting our earlier kiss.

Somehow, Mingyu enters it with more strength—more desperation.

I'm not sure how long Mingyu and I spent in the field, but very little of that time was spent looking at the stars.

My eyes droop, and my legs ache as I climb the stairs to the thirteenth floor with Mingyu.

"What do you want to tell people?"

"Hmm?" I tiredly hum.

"About us?" Mingyu's hand snakes to mine, taking it and nearly engulfing it. "I'll gladly tell anyone who will listen about you, but I want you to pick." Mingyu shrugs. "If you're uncomfortable being open, we don't have to. Plus, it saves me the trouble of the guys' unbearable teasing."

Just the thought of the other members making fun of Mingyu makes me giggle. Already, they've taunted us for our evident admiration of each other. I can't begin to imagine what they would be like if we confirmed things.
