"Puppy!"

Small arms reached out for the playful puffball of white fur. As they began to close in around their target, said puffball narrowly evaded the toddler's advances. The giggling girl glanced down, realizing that there was nothing in her arms, and looked up to see Hana in playful stance. With her tail wagging high in the air, Hana yipped at the small girl, encouraging her to try and catch her again. Her master rarely played with her like this, and she planned on getting the most she could out of the tiny girl. Without missing a beat, the small girl jumped into action and tried once again to catch Hana.

Both were unaware of the two sets of eyes, one brown and the other blue, that watched the game of chase from the other room. Tino, the brown eyed male, watched with a smile on his face while sharing his thoughts with Berwald, the blue eyed male.

"What do you think Ber? Am I over thinking things or do you see what I see?"

Berwald was sitting beside Tino also watching Hana and the little girl enjoying themselves. His face remained neutral, like always, but he was enjoying the playful duo as well. Tinos home always had a friendly atmosphere to it, but now that is was filled with the sound of playful laughter, it made the house feel all the more cozy.

"I can't say for sure, but you may be right."

If Tinos theory was correct, then that meant that Berwald had discovered a new country. Who'd a thought that a nation could even be formed at this point in time? There were no new territories left to discover in this world, which raises the question once again: where was this little girl from?

"...but then again, we may be jumping to conclusions."

"Hmm..." Tino was unsure of this himself. The thought of a new country was something to get excited about, but it had been so long since a new one had been discovered. This meant that there was just no way to be sure. Not unless he asked other countries.

It had been only a week since Berwald found the small girl playing in front of Tino's house, and since then there have been no missing child reports. This brought some hope to the two and their suspicions, but neither Berwald nor Tino wanted to bring a lot of attention to the matter, seeing as how certain nations can become hostile at the thought of owning a new territory.

On the other hand, Tino couldn't fight the feeling the he and Berwald were just hoping for something that just wasn't true. Both had grown very fond over the toddler in their short amount of time with her, but if she wasn't a new forming country like he suspected, than he feared he would have to give her up. The last thing he wanted to do was to send her away to some orphanage, not after becoming so attached to her sweet smiles, warm hugs, and consistent gibberish.

"We could ask the others, just to get an opinion. Lukas and Emil should be civil enough to break the news to, but Matthias might tell one of his friends just to brag."

Tino sighed, just imagining the chaos Matthias would bring all because of his loud mouth. "And we can't have that..."

No longer paying attention to the two in the other room, Tino and Berwald continued to converse with one another about the mysterious little girl. Neither heard the front door open and close, nor the heavy footsteps that followed. Hana ran off to greet the stranger, and the tiny girl followed after, also curious about the newcomer that entered the house.
