Alex awoke to the sound of his Pokédex blaring like and alarm clock signalling a new mission. So he got out of bed to check what his assignment was. The Pokédex went quiet the moment it was picked up and the screen displayed his new mission.
Pokédex: [Team Galactic is up to something in Eterna city, follow the map to the mission location and await further instruction]
"Why are they always so early in the morning." Alex asked himself while he wiped the sleep from his eyes. He made haste packing up his things before making his way to the flashing point on the map in his Pokédex.
Alex arrived at the point on his map which happened to be right in front of a large building.
Pokédex: [Enter the building and put a stop to Team Galactic's plans]
Alex: "That straight forward enough."
Alex entered the building and began making his way to the top battling grunt after grunt until he had reached the 4th floor. On the 4th floor was a woman with purple hair and her outfit looked just like Mars'.
"By the uniform I'm guessing you're a commander just like Mars?" Alex asked the woman who wasn't expecting visitors at this time.
"An astute observation, yes I am Commander Jupiter of team Galactic. Now who the hell are you?" She replied as she turned to face Alex.
Alex: "I've been sent to stop you, that's all you need to know."
Jupiter: "I guess it doesn't matter anyway, you won't be winning this battle."
Jupiter sent out her first Pokémon, A Zubat.
Alex sent out Luxio.
Jupiter: "Zubat use Poison Fang!"
Zubat's fangs began glowing a deep purple colour before it lunged towards Luxio.
Alex: "Luxio Spark!"
Zubat was about to sink its teeth into Luxio when Luxio vanished and reappeared behind it with an aura of electricity. Luxio rammed into the unsuspecting Zubat slamming it into a wall.
Jupiter: "Don't get cocky kid, Zubat return!"
Jupiter returned Zubat to its pokeball and sent out her next Pokémon, Skuntank.
Alex: "Luxio return!"
Alex returned Luxio to its pokeball and sent out his next Pokémon Buneary.
Buneary emerged from her pokeball, she had completely digested the Bellossom over night and it was now just a layer of fat on her body.
Jupiter: "Skuntank use Smokescreen!"
A cloud of smoke rose from Skuntank's body obscuring the area.
Jupiter: "Skuntank use Night slash!"
Skuntank's claws became wrapped in a dark aura and Skuntank dashed towards Buneary managing to take her by surprise and slash her side.
Alex: "Buneary hang in there!"
Jupiter: "Keep using Night slash!"
Skuntank continues slashing Buneary then returning into the smoke to hide itself.
Alex: "How can I hit it if it keeps hiding in the smoke?"
Alex: "I've got it! Buneary brace for the next attack and get ready to grab it!"
Skuntank emerges from the smoke attacking from Buneary's blind spot but this time Buneary grabs it.
Alex: "Buneary use Double Kick!"
Buneary throws Skuntank into the air then jumps up as well. In mid air Buneary kicks the Skuntank once in its side and once in the neck before landing on her feet while Skuntank crashes into the floor. When the smoke clears Skuntank is unconscious.
Jupiter: "Damn it! How could I lose!"
"I will have my revenge!" Jupiter yelled as she ran to the elevator and left, shortly followed by all the other grunts.
As Alex left the building his Pokédex buzzed in his pocket. When he pulled it out, it displayed a message stating that Alex had been promoted to rank C.
Pokédex: [You have been promoted to Rank C, new benefits have been unlocked, would you like to hear them?]
Alex: "Yes"
Pokédex: [Monthly allowance has been raised from 4000 to 5000, mobile PC box has been unlocked.]
Alex: "Mobile PC box?"
Pokédex: [Your PC can now be accessed from anywhere, allowing you to swap Pokémon at any time.]
Alex: "That's awesome!"
By now it's only around noon so Alex decides to make his way towards the next city. Alex heads south through the cycling road on route 206 then east through route 207 cutting through Mount Coronet. However in mount Coronet he runs into a strange blue haired man ranting about how the world is imperfect and it's his job to fix it using the gods of space and time, "That's probably not important" Alex thought to himself as he silently made his way to Route 208 without the man noticing. Finally after continuing east through route 208 he arrived at Hearthome City the location of the next gym.
By the time Alex had arrived at Hearthome City it was really late so he checked in at the Pokémon centre and booked a room for the night, specifically asking for one with a large bed. Alex checks into his room and let's his Pokémon out before collapsing on to the bed. It had been a long day for him and he's got his next gym battle tomorrow too.
