I was questioned by the teacher about my lateness as I entered the classroom.
"I was applying my makeup," I replied, displaying my new look with a smile. She responded with an eye roll and instructed me to take my seat. As I complied with her request, I gazed down at my hands. Did I cause their demise? How could I be responsible if the tree was already broken? Were they foolish enough to gather beneath a damaged tree?
"Today, our focus is on reading," my teacher's voice interrupted my thoughts, "any book is acceptable as long as it is quiet and appropriate." We all nodded in agreement and proceeded to find online reading materials on our iPads. While browsing, nothing particularly captivated my interest until I chanced upon a book titled "Royalty at Its Finest." Now, that sounded intriguing, to say the least.

However, as I began delving into the narrative, the intercom blared the announcements.
"CODE RED! I REPEAT, CODE RED! LOCKDOWN!" Oh no.
We all hurried to the designated corner of the room. Many of the surrounding students were visibly shaken, texting their parents to express their love. It must be comforting to have loving parents. Unfortunately, I would most likely never experience that. I was apprehensive, unwilling to be implicated in a potential tragedy resulting from a falling tree.
After a tense 30 minutes, the sound of helicopters, ambulances, and police vehicles filled the air. It seemed like an extensive response. Lost in my thoughts, the door suddenly swung open, and we were all instructed to exit the room with our hands raised. This was not a situation involving a school shooting. Come on, people, it's 2090. Let's act more mature. Subsequently, parents rushed to retrieve their children. Mine, as usual, was nowhere to be found. God, I hate them.

Everyone was sent home early because they needed to do a full investigation of the school before anything was released. I had to walk home because my parents were with my brother to see where his promotion would be. It absolutely can't get worse than this. Right? All of a sudden, thunder clashes. Great, it can. I sighed, walking as the rain began to pour as if the whole world had gone through a drought.
"Bro, there is no hurricane. Why is it raining so hard," I mutter, now running, trying to get home as quickly as I can. Going up the hill, I could see the Orgon Building. They don't have to worry about anything in life, do they? Must be nice to just be rich and powerful.

When I got home I saw the house was empty. Well, that is even better for me. I cook myself a little meal before heading to the shower to take my first 20-minute bath. Then I head to my room to read that book. It is a fantastic story that talks about all the different things people in the past did with their money. The joys of having money. Wish that that was me, I wouldn't even need love from my parents as long as I have the money.

A few hours go by, and I hear the door swinging wide open. Great their back... They are cheering louder than ever, I wonder why. Slowly and steadily, I sneak out of my room to hear what's going on.
"A professor at Orgon Building!" My mom shouts in excitement, "My son is brilliant!"
"We need to celebrate, EVE! EVE! COME DOWNSTAIRS!"
Noway...Orgon Building?!?! My brother? My disgusting brother was able to bag a job there? That's impressive.
"Coming," I run down the stairs.
"GO, find something good to wear. We are going out tonight." My dad says without turning around.
"Oh, Mom, Dad, I would have never made it without you, but I'm afraid we have to move to another play," Dave said in a sad voice. Why does he need his parents to move in with him? True is a baby inside. So if we move closer to the Orgon Building then...I might get to attend the school for the super-rich and powerful. This is big! A new start for me!
"Then let us move! I was getting tired of this place already," my mom says. LET'S GO! YES! But to be sure that I'll be attending that school.
"So what about my school," I ask.
"You'll be attending the Orgon Prestigious High School," my dad says. LET'S GO!
"I start the job in 3 days, so we need to start packing," my brother says.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" My mom yells as she runs to the garage to get some boxes.
"Dave, please head to the store to buy boxes, and honey, go start putting the kitchen stuff and living room stuff into the boxes. Eve, you go do the same in the bathroom and bedrooms." My mom yells. Finally, I'm listening to something my mom is saying. We all nodded and went to our jobs. After a good 4 hours, we were done packing. We didn't need the furniture because the apartment we were moving into already had that and was much bigger than our house. We were all tired and went to bed. Today wasn't so bad with my family. If only it could always be that way.
