Okay, so here's the thing. I did not want to do this but still have to. I noticed that the story is getting views but not a good amount of votes is coming in.

This is not how things are going to work, guys. If I'm putting in effort by writing chapters and giving you all a story to read, I also need something in return! So from now on, I'm going to set vote targets.

The vote target for this chapter is 300!

The next update will be on Sunday at 8 PM, only if the vote target is completed!

Samar's pov:

"Yes, Mr. Oberoi, the deal is final. I will email all the documents to you by tonight," I said over the phone as I opened the door of my car and started walking into my house.

"Yes, okay," I said, ending the call.

"Samar Baba, what happened to your clothes? Why did they look like this?" Shyam Kaka asked as he saw me entering the house.

"Nothing, Kaka. I went to meet a client. After the meeting, I needed some energy, as I was busy the whole day, so I went to a café to grab a coffee."

"One of the employees accidentally spilled all the coffee on my clothes. That's why they look like this," I explained, and he nodded in understanding.

"You should go and change. I'll send Rakesh to collect these clothes from your room; otherwise, they will stain," he said.

I nodded and went to my room.

I took a quick shower and decided to complete my remaining meetings which can be done virtually.

I'm trying to finish all of my work of tomorrow, today because I want to be free tomorrow. I don't want any work interruptions because tomorrow, I'm meeting her.

As I finished my meetings, I saw Leo entering my room and looking at me.

"Come here, my boy," I said, gesturing for him to come closer.

He was hesitant at first, but eventually, he slowly started approaching me. We had just met, so it would take some time for us to get to know each other.

He came near me and started sniffing my legs as I was sitting on the sofa.

I patted his head, cooing at him, and he instantly started jumping a little, getting happy. I picked him up, and he settled into my lap, resting his head there. I gently patted his head.

"I'm going to meet her tomorrow, Leo. What do you think she'll be like?" I murmured to myself.

I didn't expect Leo to understand, but as soon as I said it, he lifted his head and looked at me, as if he understood what I was saying.

I smiled at him, his confused expression making me laugh. "You don't know either, huh?" I said, scratching behind his ears. "We'll find out soon enough."

Then I stood up from my place.

Leo's curious eyes followed me as I stood up, his head tilting slightly in that way dogs do when they're trying to understand.

I paced around the room, thoughts swirling about tomorrow's meeting with Shiddat. I grabbed a pen and paper, sitting back down on the sofa.

"Alright, Leo, let's make a plan," I said, half to myself, half to the attentive dog at my feet. I started jotting down a few points, trying to organize my thoughts.

"First," I wrote, "Make a good impression." I looked at Leo, who was now lying down but still watching me. "I need to be calm and confident, right, buddy?"
