Seoul's streets had never looked so menacing. The rain cascaded from the heavens with a force that seemed almost supernatural, as if some deity had turned their wrath upon the city. For Mr. Min, the rain was a backdrop to his growing panic, each droplet a reminder of how perilous their journey to the hospital had become.

"Hold on, just a little longer," Mr. Min murmured, his voice strained as he glanced at his wife, whose face was twisted in agony. The dashboard lights flickered ominously, and the windshield wipers struggled to keep the glass clear. Every muscle in Mr. Min's body was taut with tension as he navigated the flooded streets, his knuckles white from gripping the steering wheel.

Mrs. Min's moans grew louder, and Mr. Min's heart raced faster. They had planned everything meticulously, but nature's fury had thrown all their preparations into chaos. He could feel the car sliding on the wet road, and his mind was a whirl of worry and dread.

Then, out of nowhere, a truck's headlights blazed through the darkness, blinding him. He swerved instinctively, tires skidding across the slick pavement. The impact was sudden and violent, metal crunching and glass shattering as their car collided with the truck. Time seemed to slow down, the sounds of the crash echoing in his ears like a nightmarish symphony.

When the car finally came to a halt, Mr. Min's vision swam. Blood trickled down his forehead, but his only concern was for his wife. He turned to her, his heart sinking at the sight. She was unconscious, her breathing shallow and labored. Panic surged through him as he tried to assess the damage, his hands shaking.

"Please, stay with me," he whispered, his voice breaking. He fumbled for his phone, his fingers slick with blood, but the screen remained dark. The storm had knocked out the signal, leaving them completely isolated. Desperation clawed at him, and he shouted for help, his voice swallowed by the howling wind and rain.

It was then that he saw the figure approaching. The man seemed to materialize out of the storm, a shadowy silhouette holding a black umbrella. He moved with an otherworldly grace, his steps silent despite the tumultuous weather. As he drew nearer, the air around him seemed to grow colder, and Mr. Min felt a chill run down his spine.

The man was tall and impeccably dressed in a black suit, his features sharp and eerily handsome. His eyes, however, were what struck Mr. Min the most - they gleamed with an unnatural light, a crimson hue that seemed to pierce through the darkness. When he spoke, his voice was smooth and commanding, sending shivers through Mr. Min's already frayed nerves.

"Help us, please," Mr. Min pleaded, his desperation palpable. "My wife... she's in labor, and we had an accident. We need to get to the hospital."

The man tilted his head slightly, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "I see," he said, his tone dripping with a calm that was unnerving given the circumstances. "And what will you give me in return for my help?"

Mr. Min was taken aback by the question. "Anything, anything you want," he stammered, willing to do whatever it took to save his wife and child.

The man's smirk widened. "anything ," he said, his voice turning colder. "I want your unborn baby."

Horror washed over Mr. Min, his mind reeling at the sinister proposition. "No," he gasped. "I can't... I can't do that."

The man's eyes seemed to glow brighter, and his expression grew more intense. "Think carefully," he said softly. "Without my help, both your wife and child will die. Do you want that on your conscience?"

Mr. Min's resolve wavered. The man's words burrowed into his mind, sowing seeds of doubt and fear. He looked down at his unconscious wife, her life hanging by a thread, and his heart broke. Memories of their life together flashed before his eyes - their wedding day, the joy they felt when they learned they were going to be parents, the dreams they had for their future. He couldn't let it all end like this.
