Annalise

"Morning." My father spoke to the class and I walked in behind him and took my seat at the back corner of the class.

"Mr. Aizawa, you don't have bandages anymore. That's good news," Tsu said as I sat down, she was right, it's amazing news.

"The old lady went a little overboard in her treatment. Anyways. We have a big class today on Hero Informatics." My father said and a short silence overtook the room and you could see panic on half the students' faces, "You need codenames. Time to pick your hero identities. This is related to the pro hero draft picks that I mentioned the last time we were in class together. Normally, students don't have to worry about the draft yet. Not until their second or third year actually, but your class is different. In fact, by extending offers to first-years like you, pros are essentially investigating in your potential. Any offers can be rescinded if their interest in you dies down before graduation, though."

"Stupid, selfish adults," Mineta said hitting his fist against the desk.

"So what you're saying is, we'll still have to prove ourselves after we've gotten recruited," Hagakure asked, but it was more like a statement than a question.

"Correct. Now. Here are the totals for those of you who got offers." My father said before pressing a button and I was in shock that I had the second to most offers, "In past years it's been more spread out. But there's a pretty big gap this time."

"Todoroki and Annalise got the most instead of Bakugo?" Jiro asked and I was just as shocked, I thought that my horrible combat skills really would have taken me down a few offers.

"Yeah, it's the opposite of how they placed in the festival," Kirishima said.

"They probably weren't excited about the guy who had to be chained up at the end," Sero mentioned making me stifle a laugh.

"If I scared a pro, they're just weak!" Bakugo shouted.

"Despite these results, you'll all be interning with pros. Got it? Even those of you who didn't get any offers." My father said.

"Oh, so we're all interning?" Midiroya asked, aka the only one who didn't get any offers.

"Yes. You already got to experience combat with real villains during the attack on the USJ facility. But it'll still be helpful to see pros at work. Up close and personal, in the field. Firsthand." My father continued to explain.

So that's why we need the codenames. But what could my codename be? Present Mic always calls me puppet master, but that's such a stupid hero name. Or is it? Maybe I could be Puppet or something, just as long as I don't get a name like my father.

Lol. Eraser Head.

"These hero names will likely be temporary, but take them seriously or..." My father started but was cut off.

"You'll have hell to pay later!" Midnight announced throwing the door open, "What you pick today could be your code name for life. You'd better be careful or you'll be stuck with something utterly indecent."

"Yeah. She's got a good point. Midnight is going to have final approval over your names. It's not my forte." My father explained as I held back a giggle, he's got that right.

"That's because your hero name is Eraser Head," I say and my father shoots a glare at me, using his quirk to try and scare me but I just use it back.

I saw what he was trying to do there. I'm one step ahead, unlike usual, I'm actually surprised.

"The name you give yourself is important. It helps reinforce your image and shows what kind of hero you wanna be in the future. A code name tells people exactly what you represent. Take 'All Might' for example." My father explained.

I got my slip of paper and didn't know what to put down. It had to be something to do with my quirk right? Maybe it could be Puppet Master. That way Present Mic would have picked my dad's hero name and mine. What a tradition to have live on right?

Or like I can use a mix of that and my dad's hero name. Like Eraser Puppet. But maybe I'm leaning toward just Puppet. That's not exactly my quirk name so it could work. So Puppet it is I guess.

I write the word across the piece of paper I was given when Midnight started talking, "Now, students, who among you is ready to share?"

Of course, Aoyama was the first to go, him and his radiating confidence, but his hero name choice was so stupid. I mean 'I cannot stop Twinkling?' That's way too long.

But Midnight liked it after taking out the I, and the stop. And changing the cannot to can't. So more of, she liked the 'Twinkling' part of his idea.

"Okay let me go next, my codename. Aline Queen!" Mina said holding up her paper but Midnight did not like that one, yet liked Aoyama's. That's just crazy.

"Hold on. Like that horrible monster with the acidic blood? I don't think so." Midnight said sending Mina back to her desk.

"I'll go!" I smile and hop up to the front of the room placing my paper up, "Puppet. Simple and easy to remember."

"It's perfect!" Midnight said, "Much better than you're fathers."

"Trust me, I know." I smile before returning to my seat.

The class continued to go on.

Tsu's was Froppy which earned chants.

Kirishima was Red Riot, which I loved: paying attention to the Crimson Riot.

Jiro was earphone Jack, which might have been my favorite yet.

Shoji was just Tentacle, which is well self-explanatory.

Sero was cellaphane, which in Midnight's words, was on the nose.

Ojiro had another super self-explanatory one, Tailman.

And yet another self-explanatory one, Sato's was Sugarman.

Mina came up with one just as cute as she was, Pinky.

Kaminari was simple yet creative I guess, Chargebolt.

Hagakure was also very self-explanatory, Invisible Girl.

And names went on from there. I couldn't help but crack up every time Bakugo tried a name, which ended in us yelling at each other for a few minutes. I'd honestly say we're somewhat friends—in our own special way, I guess.

But I was disappointed when Shoto just chose his name. He could have chosen so many other things. I gotta agree with Bakugo though, I would love to see Shoto's hero name be Icy Hot. Lol.

I would absolutely die of laughter.
