So Bloody Mary was real. And now, for some reason, she was right in front of Player.
Why? What could she possibly want from HIM? Player did have an idea, but he feared it becoming reality. He didn't want to become a road sign for random spirits just because of one in particular.
"What do you want from me?" Player finally asked her.
"Want? I've heard about you from a fellow spirit... You seem like a good catch. A good helper."
"Helper? Oh no," Player thought out loud.
"Don't worry. It's not that bad. Together, we kill the crewmates. ...That doesn't sound so bad, does it?"
"Well... not particularly...but-"
"Good. ...Call my name thrice." And with that, Bloody Mary disappeared. Player was left alone in the Decontamination hall, but not for long. He heard the door opening, and Stoner, Mother and Wizard appeared.
"Oh, good. A group of them," Player muttered.
"Dude... we just heard BDay talkin' about how that mirror cloned itself," Stoner stated.
"I'm startin' to think this might be real after all," Wizard added.
"Well-" Mother started, "If it is, then- ..." She placed her hand on Wizard's back in a comforting way. "You can use your powers of the dark arts on her!"
"Oh yeah!" Wizard pumped his fist, then started to make mock casting gestures. "She won't stand a chance!!"
Player's smile faded. Stoner pressed the button to open the decontamination door. "I have three tasks left, still. I gotta finish 'em all if we wanna win."
The door opened, and Stoner entered Decontamination. Player quickly followed him. The door shut behind them, and the mist started to clean them. Player occasionally glanced at Stoner, then away, then back again. He was pondering his newly assigned "duties." First, he was a servant to Novisor (no matter what the ghost argued), now a hitman for Bloody Mary? At this rate Beetlejuice would ask him for favors!
The door opened. Stoner, then Player, exited the decontamination hall into the locker room. While Stoner lingered, Player walked out of the locker room and into the hallway. Also meandering in the hallway were Baggy and Dum.
"Hey brother! How many of your tasks have you got done?!" Dum asked enthusiastically. "I've got half of them!"
"I, uh... only did one," Player responded.
"Oh no! You need to start doing them!! Because what if Bloody Mary comes?!"
"I hope she doesn't come," Baggy murmured in fear.
"She- She won't," Player quickly reassured him. But he wasn't so sure that was true.
Then, Baggy slowly turned to face Player, all while the three were still walking. His stare was uncomfortable to Player. It was almost like he saw his secrets - did he? Did he think he was hiding something? Did he know??
"You know, Player," Baggy began. His voice was surprisingly slow and clear; "I've been thinking about this all. And I remembered what happened with Novisor, according to you..."
Player held his breath.
"And Novisor went after YOU. So... Bloody Mary could very much exist. And if she does, she's out for YOU!"
"BAGGY!!" Dum retorted. "There's no WAY my brother's a ghost magnet! That's just silly fear talk!!"
"S-Sorry," Baggy apologized, nervousness back in him.
With that he sped up, heading into the office. Dum and Player stopped in front of Admin. Player had sighed of relief - it was good Baggy wasn't worried about what was actually true.
Then Player remembered what he was supposed to do. But was he going to do it? He needed time to think.
"I'm gonna start doing my tasks," Player told Dum, a slight laugh in his voice to add a self-mocking tone to the comment.
"Okay!" Dum responded.
Player continued through the hallway as Dum waved him off. He found himself heading to the right of Mira, toward the cafeteria. But he didn't stop once there. He kept on going to a secluded space - the storage room.
The storage room was rather small. A large shelf with assorted items greeted anyone who entered, along with a couple boxes.
"Gah... Bloody Mary...," Player mused aloud. His morals were clashing with..... What were they clashing with? Did he have a desire for power in his life?
"Bloody Mary...," he said again, this time with a hint of introspection. Almost like he realized he had been played for a fool. Who ever says yes to whatever a clearly evil spirit says?! He was an IDIOT!!
Silence.
"BLOODY MARY!!!" Player screamed, angry at his life.
The storage room seemed cold suddenly.
A breeze whipped the room. But the door to the balcony was closed.
A shock of fear filled Player. There was a moment of frightful confusion, but almost right afterward, a memory sharply came to recall.
"Call my name thrice."
"What have I done?" Player whispered in horror.
