Before I can think it through, I drop the whisk. My hand grabs the front of his muscle shirt, pulling him toward me with more force than I meant to, but it's like I don't care. I need him close, and I need him now.
Noah's eyes widen for half a secon...

I took my phone off DND after my studying was over. I got a few texts that came in, but I immediately went to Noah's text.
My pretty boi: Get dressed, I'm taking you on a date. But u gotta drive tho.
I was the only one with a driving license. Noah failed his driving test three times and on his third time he wrecked the car, so he took his third time failing as a sign he shouldn't drive. As long as he had me to drive him places, he wouldn't need to try again to get a license.
Me: Casual? Or fancy?
My pretty boi: Damn Wigga bout time you texted me back. casual. comfy.
Me: Where r u taking me?
My pretty boi: Jzt get dressed and come pick me up.
Me: okay daddy 🤪
My pretty boi: gay ass.
It was 6 pm when I picked up Noah. He slides into the passenger seat of the mini-van. He's nodding to the song I have playing on the radio. It was No Diggity by Blackstreet. "I think you were hanging around me too much," Noah said. "My blackness is rubbing off on you."
Of course, we hang around each other too much and when you hang around with someone too much, a little of them starts to become you, and a little of you starts to become them. You don't realize you're using their slang until they point it out in the heat of laughter and you think, This is so not me.
"Where the hell are we going, Noah?" I asked, laughing.
He sits his phone in the holder on the dashboard and sets up the GPS. "A gaming cafe and some anime theme cafe that just opened up. I got a digital coupon for the grand opening."
"You don't even like video games or anime."
"But you do. Besides, I just wanted to spend time with you doing something you like." His voice gets smaller, like he's bashful of what he said. I find it so freaking cute. I reached over pinching his cheek. He pouts, hitting my hand away.
Our first stop was the gaming cafe. Noah sits beside me and I put on my headset. He's on the phone texting someone. He pauses from what he's texting, moves his hand to the mouse, clicks on a random game, and goes back to texting.
It's out of an old habit that I did with my ex. I leaned over to Noah pretending to see what game he was going to play. I took a glance at his phone and saw he was texting Annabeth. Noah's phone went black before I could check out what they were talking about.
"Have you played this game before?" Noah asked.
It was The Last Of Us.
"A few times with the twins." I settled back into my seat and picked a game to play. "Do you want help playing?"
