Olympus has fallen to earth

Poem # 5

You consume me
My mind my body my soul my heart
I haven't stopped thinking about you
But the idea of you no longer being a thought kills a piece of me

I obsess over you
It's suffocating me
How much I think and dream about you
I usually can't remember anything about my life, but I remember you.

Only you.
I'm sorry.
I got scared
I don't know why

I ran twice and that's my fault and not yours
I'll always remember you
No one can ever take that from me, take you from me
Your name is at the top of my list always

When my children ask about my first true love
Your name will be on my lips
Your name etched over my heart and scars
And it will be your name I think of as I drift off to sleep
