Apparently, there's a black sheep in the Zen'in clan. Even though he's a man, he doesn't have an ounce of cursed energy. How awful must that feel. How pitiful must that person feel.
The sin of the insignificant is the ignorance of strength. No one understood Toji, except possibly for Gojo.
{these were canon quotes from the manga actually woawh}
After a talk with Tsumiki's mom, they both agreed that it was for the better for the kids to live with Gojo.
"Wanna grab something to eat, kids?" -Gojo asked, even tho he knew the answer. The children were starved.
They said yes and went together to a restaurant. The kids seemed enchanted by the atmosphere and engulfed the food in an instant. They made a mess - they got food all over them, but Gojo bought them new chlotes. "It's not too late" - Gojo thought. "Even tho I don't know much about what happened in their childhood, I can still hope to give them a better life."
They became closer as time went by. Tsumiki was always nice and sweet, but Megumi was distant and cold. Maybe he was just uneducated? Or maybe he really went through some rough times. That was what Geto thought too.
Eventually, they got closer and started calling each other by their first names. Physical touch didn't feel threatening anymore.

"Can we have ramen for dinner tonight?" -Megumi asked. He was laying on his back on the couch in Gojo's dorm."Sure, I can order you some. Pass me my phone." -Satoru responded, busy fixing his hair in front of the mirror. He's been doing that for the past 20 minutes.
"Why do you always take so long to get ready?"
"One day you'll understand. If you'll meet a person you like, and I'm sure you will, you'll always try to look your best for them."
"Weird..." -Said Megumi while passing to Satoru his phone.
"I know you find it weird now, but you'll understand when you're older. Have you asked Tsumiki if she wants ramen too?"
"No, but I'm sure she will."
"Well, it's not nice to make decisions all by yourself. Go ask her if she wants some. Where is she?"
"In her room."
"Then go be a gentleman and talk to your sister."
"Alright..."
Satoru continued to get ready. Megumi came back with a discreet smile, knowing that he's going to eat well for the night. Suguru arrived and hugged the kids, kissed Satoru and complimented him, then kissed the kids goodbye and left with his fiance on their date. These little moments seemed insignificant, yet it brought them so close together that they became a family.
2010
An event occurred that altered the balance among cursed energy. All 20 of Sukuna's fingers were successfully sealed far away. The experts from Jujutsu Headquarters estimated this to stop curses from being born for around 2 years. What were sorcerers going to do now? Regress to their original lives? Pursue a career? Satoru ran to the phone immediately after he heard the news to call Suguru.
"Darling, have you heard the news!?"
"What news? You're scaring me. Not even a hello? A how was your day?"
"When you'll hear the news you won't care about that anymore! THE CURSES! THEY'RE GONE!"
"What!? Are you hallucinating?" -Geto asked in a chuckle.
