Today was the day of the grand event at Elite Academy Uni, the most prestigious university in the city. The event was scheduled to take place at the university's grand auditorium, and it was expected to be attended by hundreds of students, faculty members, and important guests.
Eva had been preparing for this day for weeks. She had been practicing her lines, researching the history of the university, and rehearsing her hosting skills. Today, she was finally going to take the stage and shine as the anchor of the ceremony.
Eva and her friend Rachel had been given the responsibility of anchoring the ceremony. They had been rehearsing together for weeks, making sure that everything would go smoothly on the big day. They had practiced their lines, their coordination, and their on-stage banter. Now, they were ready to take the stage and deliver a flawless performance.
The university was brimming with activity on this day of the grand event. Students were buzzing with excitement, adjusting their clothes and practicing their lines. Faculty members were running around, making sure everything was in order. The sound of music and chatter filled the halls, and the air was charged with energy and anticipation.
The auditorium was almost fully occupied, with students and guests taking their seats. All that was left was for the chief guest to arrive. They were supposed to make a grand entrance after their names were announced. The anticipation in the room was palpable, and everyone was waiting anxiously for the ceremony to begin.
Eva's Pov
We took center stage as the lights dimmed. The spotlight shone on us, and we took a deep breath before beginning our anchoring duties. We thanked the professors and other faculty members for their hard work, and we introduced the evening's special guests with confidence and enthusiasm.
As we continued with the anchoring, everything was going smoothly until we got to announcing the chief guest's name. As soon as the name appeared on the screen behind us, my confidence faltered, and my heart skipped a beat.
The name flashed on the screen in big bold letters: Aaron Altson. I felt my heart sink as I saw his name. Of all the possible guests, it had to be him. I stumbled over the words, my voice shaking slightly.
I collected myself and continued with my duties, my heart still pounding in my chest. It was time to welcome the chief guest with the rose bouquet. I turned to the entrance, my hands trembling slightly as I held the bouquet in front of me.
Aaron walked in flanked by his bodyguards, his gaze fixed on us. He looked as polished and composed as ever, his sharp suit and neat hair creating a commanding presence. He moved closer to us, his eyes never leaving ours.
As Aaron approached, I couldn't help but notice that his gaze seemed to be fixed solely on me. Did he recognize me? Was it a trick of the light, or was he truly staring at me? I felt my stomach tighten with nerves, my heart racing in my chest.
I snapped out of my thoughts as Rachel jolted me lightly, reminding me of my duties. I took a deep breath and moved forward, holding the rose bouquet out towards Aaron. He took it from me, his fingers brushing against mine briefly, sending shivers down my spine.
I forced myself to speak, my voice coming out in a nervous stutter. "Wel-welcome, Mr. Altson," I said, my eyes fixed on his face. He held my gaze for a moment, his expression unreadable.
"It's Aaron," he corrected me, his voice deep and smooth. I felt my cheeks flush slightly at his words, embarrassed that I had addressed him so formally. "There's no need for formalities," he continued, a hint of a smirk on his lips.
I tried to regain my composure and responded to him, "Of course, Mr. Altson. We need to proceed with the ceremony formally." I could feel his gaze still on me, and I could sense a hint of amusement in his expression.
