Your job as one of the base nurses was a bit hard at times. Having to treat difficult patients was the downside to it. But being in nursing school for almost 5 years you knew a way around your job. A few months prior you had been promoted to task force 141's nurse along with soon to be field agent. A rookie in training for now though.

You were enlisted in the military for a few years now yet you were horrified to be in the field, especially when you were thrown into a premium task force. As a nurse you enjoyed the gunfire from a far, so when you started training under the wing of 141, you were heavily unprepared. You were a very capable soldier nonetheless, just a bit longer you had to wait.

The atmosphere seemed to thicken whenever you were around the Lieutenant. You barely knew him yet you both seemed to be drawn to each other whenever it was just the two of you, which was hardly. Maybe it was the mask that drew you in, or maybe it was you that did it for him, or maybe it was something else.

You exhaled sharply, feeling the pressure of the barbell above you. Heaving it down and then back up, trying your hardest not to bounce the weight. You decided to add a bit more weight then you can regularly lift without a spotter so you were a bit cautious. However after a few sharp pains in your arm you were able to lift it back on the bench.

You sat up quickly, the sweat dripping down your neck and arms. You were finally able to catch the gym alone, since you hated working in there when it was flooded with soldiers.

You had heard that 141 was finally getting back from Mexico today so you were preparing yourself for that mentally, which was why you were taking your body out to the gym. A way of therapy maybe. Or just a way to keep yourself awake yet also tired yourself out at the same time.

"You look like you've been here a while." A cold deep accent called from the doorway.

"Jesus Ghost you're gonna give me a heart attack." You jumped a few inches from the bench as you turned around to face him, leaning, arms crossed in the doorway. He was out of his gear, and only in casual clothes. "Glad you made it back in one piece Sir, Where are the others?" You questioned.

"Price and Gaz are meeting with Laswell, Soap's in the infirmary."

"The hell? Is he alright? Why didn't you just send him to me?"

"We didn't have the time, he had been in pretty bad shape, stabbed, and bleeding quite a lot."

"Jesus." You sighed. "What ya looking for me for then?"

"Price wanted me to check in on 141's doctor." Ghost snickered, his eyes creasing at the corners, you could tell he was smirking devilishly under that mask. "Working yourself heavy are ya?" He gestured towards the barbell that was stacked with more than you could add up. "Just trying to get ahead." You smiled. "Why do you ask?"

"Need a spotter?" His thick accent, bleeding through his words.

"Beg your pardon?"

"'Guess you have been working too hard."

You paused, taken aback, "A spotter would be helpful sir." you smiled softly.

Ghost approached the bench and positioned himself behind you as you laid down against the leather bench. He placed his gloved hands under the barbell in a spotting motion.

You carefully slid it off the bench and lowered it down to yourself. Your arms were barely able to stay stable, desperately trying to lift up the weight. It was almost like the air was pushing it down onto you as if trying to make you look desperate.

"Your arms are shaking, need me to take it?"

"No it's fine." You sharply blurted out as your breath hitched. You were able to bounce the weight down and up another time before Ghost gave up on watching you suffer and gently gripped the bar that your arms were barely able to keep up. He helped you lower it back down to your chest and watched your grip tighten as you lifted it back it.
