CONSTANCE BRIDGERTON, also known as Connie to her family, was an illegitimate child. Her mother ran away when she was born, not wanting to bear to care for the child. Of course Connie doesn't know that, and only believes that her mother is dead, which Anthony told her as he didn't want her asking questions about her mother.
But once the Ton found out about the child being born into an unmarried couple, the Ton seemed to have a quiet hatred towards the young girl. Obviously it's not her fault her mother ran away, and of course she doesn't know that. But she feels pressured into gaining the respect of the people of the Ton, as she doesn't want anyone hating her for something she cannot control.
The stars and space have always intrigued her, as the thought of something glittering in the sky made her feel special, as people don't appreciate the marvellous things that can shine and be beautiful, until someone tells them and shows them how special they are.
"I am already roasting." The sound of Eloise can be heard, as her, Francesca, Hyacinth and Connie all hurry down the stairs.
"Are you to complain the entire night, Eloise?" Francesca asked, as Connie quickly skipped ahead down the stairs to her oldest Uncle, Benedict.
"Surely I cannot be expected to bear these fashions the entire day?" She exclaimed, fiddling with her white and pink dress.
"I feel like a princess, do I look like one?" Hyacinth asked, with a light skip in her step as she walks down the stairs next to her sisters.
"Do you truly wish to know what I think you look like?" Eloise told her, as the sound of fast hurried footsteps can be heard from behind them.
"On your left!" Gregory exclaimed, as he snatched the ribbon from Hyacinth hair and ran off down the stairs with it.
"Oh, Gregory!" Hyacinth shouted, as she chased after her brother nearly crashing into the youngest Bridgerton, who was standing next to her oldest Uncle, with his hand on her shoulder.
"Is our dear sister not ready?" Benedict asked, walking towards his sisters, as Connie follows behind him.
"She's only been readying herself the entire night." Connie told him, as she played with the ribbon that wrapped around the front of her dress.
