The first time i've meet him was in the first mission of the Third division team, and him being our vice captain.
" Ume Y/n right?" I look up to see a guy standing in a big rock.
"Vice captain.." i muttered in disbelief, this guy in front of me is holding a dual blade while, crunching down and looking at me.
Currently we are fighting some Yoju, but strangely a Honju was spotted near our location, that's why the captain and the vice captain was called to back up. But this guy... what is he doing here?
"I was supposed to heading towards the center now, what am i doing here again?" I can't hear what is he saying because of the sudden roaring of the yoju that is now being take down by my team.
"Anyway! I'll probably remember you from now on, specially with that skill." He smirk and look down on my hands, that's why I look down on what i am holding and saw some random metal tube that i unconsciously grab when my gun blasted off.
I blush at the sigh and bit my lower lip. I heard him chuckled.
"Then, i'll be off!" He stood up and jump through buildings.
That guy... he's strange..
That's out first meeting. After that incident we've got so much closer to each other, maybe because he always help me in improving my skills.
"Ume-san are you okay?" I open my eyes and glance at the doctor besides me who is now examining my body.
"Absolutely, anyway how's the others?" Right now i am in a middle of treatment for my legs, earlier today when we've got alert of some kaiju near our base, and because the captain and vice captain aren't always present here, the seniors take cover.
And we cannot assume that accident like these can't be happend.
"The others are fine Ume-san, you should worry about yourself more." She said and continue nagging at me.
But we both went silent when we heard the door of the clinic opened and saw a bowl cut hair smiling at us. clearly pissed-well pissed at me.
"How's this dummy doing?" He said as i quickly look at my side when he take look at me, avoiding his gaze.
"Ume-san is doing okay now vice captain" The doctor said.
"Y/n after this, let's talk" I smiled at him nervously when i saw how pissed he is.
This behavior of him is not new to me, whenever mina and me got into trouble, he always the one who's helping us, surprisingly he doesn't show it on his face but he clearly is worried.
"Come on hoshino, it is not a big deal" I smiled and kick my feet in front of him. "See? my legs are okay now" I said proudly.
"You're reckless." He walk towards me, the doctor excuse herself and walk out of the room, leaving me and hoshino.
The soft sound of the machine was the only noise we heard at the whole room, when he sat in bed besides me.
"I only had gone for a day and yet look at you" He said, I was about to say something when i decided not to and let my head fall on his shoulder.
I then said. "You worry too much soshiro" I murmur.
"Who wouldn't? You really know how to make me lose myself." i heard him sigh.
I then look at him. "Dummy, who told you i was dying anyway?" Yes, that's right, when i hit the wall with my back and crack my leg a little, they rushed me in the clinic and the next thing i knew was someone called hoshina and told him that i was in the blink of death.
"Anyways, todays incident won't happend again in the future, Vice captain" I smirk at him when i saw him raised a eyebrow.
Soshiro stayed by my side when i was at my downfall, because of him i decided to continue what i have started.
