Shouts, terrified screams, crackling fire and the sound of death knocking at your door.

I was four years old when the war came to my Earth, most kids my age would run to their parents, but not me. The problem is my dad was leading the war so he's evil, and my mum well lets just say she ditched me after I was born. So I'm pretty much alone.

I was hiding in a dark alleyway, listening to metal clashing, fires burning and the screams of pain that seemed to echo in my ears. Darkness covered the sky, the fires started to burn blood red as a huge army marched through the city destroying everything and killing everyone. Blood death and war flashed before my eyes. Everyone I new being slaughtered infront of me, and there was nothing I could do.

"Infinity, Infinity!" screamed a voice from behind me, "Infinity we have to go."

I turned to see my best friend Faith tugging at my arm, her silver eyes flicked with emerald green showed fear. "Come on!" she shouted dragging me through the darkness of the alley out towards the forest. But it wasn't long until we were being followed.

We ran deeper and deeper into the woods until Faith stopped and said, "keep running no matter what happens, I'll lead him away."

"But-" I sarted to say, but she cut me off with a hug and a ruffle of the hair, before she turned and darted off into another direction from which we came. I was about to keep running but something stopped me, a painful feeling in my gut told me something was wrong, suddenly a painful scream echoed through the woods, my heart felt like it was being squeezed, I knew that scream.... FAITH.

I darted off in the direction the scream came from and hid behind some large rocks just off the stream, the water was still and silent. There was a small gap in between the rocks, just big enough for me to see what was happening.

There standing infront of me was Dark Shade or show people called him. He was a big, tall muscular guy with a long jaggard scar running frome his left eye all the way down to his neck. He was known to be the best assain ever, and in his grasp was Faith. He held her by the neck, her long curly brown hair was dangling over her shoulders, her eyes filled with pain and tears. I will never forget that look.

Dark Shade lifted his sword and stabbed her showing no mercy just hate and evil. The tip of his blade dug deep into her flesh, he dropped her suddenly and cocked his head to the side listening, an evil grin appeared on his face, he looked at Faith then walked off for the horn of victory had sounded. Once he was gone I crept out of my hiding place and cradled Faith's head in my lap. Her eyes looked up at mine, the usual shine turning dim, her breathing was became shallow.

"Never listen...do you." She said her voice soft. My eyes started to fill with tears, silently begging them not to fall.

"Infinity I want ....you to be strong for me because...I'm not going to last much longer."

"No! Please don't say that," I sobbed my tears threatening to spill. "You're going to get better... Please don't leave me" I cried my tears falling from my face onto hers.

"I ...will never...leave...you I'm always...there...in your...heart....in your mind...and...in...your...soul..." She said, and with that was her final breath until her body became limp and the light vanished from her eyes that now stared up at me, empty.

"No! Please Faith don't leave me, noooo!" I cried holding onto her for dear life.

" Please come back please Faith you can't die, you can't leave me!"

"FAITH!" I screamed looking at the sky as thick grey clouds appeared. Above me thunder rumbled while the rain poured down. The scene of Faith's death kept playing in my mind as I cried of her body. I cried for about 20 minutes before I buried her and returned to what was left of the city.

When I got there everything was destroyed, the fires started to burn out as the rain washed away some of the remains of the war. The blood of those who died in battle painted the ground still fresh. Walking through the city I saw the lifeless faces of all the people I knew. Family, friends, my home...gone.

Now I was completely alone.
