Barden Univerity. One of my most disliked places in the world. I know I chose to learn more but still, school in general sucks. Plus, I have a new dorm this year since there's a lot of new students. This is about 4th year so one more year before I can finally leave this hell and move onto an actual job. At least I got to spend time with my family before I leave. Yet now they are pestering me to leave soon.

"Honey, you should try doing some extracurriculars, maybe a club, or a science fair, oh! How about acapella? We know you love to sing!" My mom smiled at me as we are eating dinner, my father agreed with her.

"Your mom is right, you should try acapella." My dad stated while munching on his broccoli.

I groan, "I don't know, there's the High Notes who are actually high 24/7. There's Treblemakers but that's an all boys group filled with discrimination. There's also the Bellas filled with controlling repetitive sluts." I exaggerate.

"It's not that bad." Dad looks up at me, "Also don't use that language while we're eating." He adds.

I sigh and check my phone to see my new dorm number. "Two more years." I state.

Arriving at the entrance, the herds of students with their overloading baggages and such. I took my bags out the cab and walked into the dormitory. I read my key and opened the door to see a chubby girl with blonde hair sun a ponytail. She had some sick stuff on her side of the room. She noticed me at the door "You must be my roommate, wassup." She says and offers a hand to which I stared at.

"Oh, people call me Fat Amy." She introduced. I nod awkwardly "Your first year?" I ask to which she nodded

"Yeah! How'd you know?" She smiled, I shrug and went to my side of the room, unpacking my stuff.

"Awkward." She said from her nose making it sound like a clown, "I'm going to head down to the activities fair, I'll see you there,"

Once I heard the door close, I sigh and check my phone. "Acapella.." I mutter before checking my empty side of the room. "Eh, future me's problem." I say before leaving the room as well.

I pass by boring nerd stands trying to gain new members. I sigh as I heard the Treblemakers doing their usual thing every damn year. Casually singing in front of everyone, not asking for auditions unless someone comes up to them, but it only makes up as a roast battle between them.

"Whip it!~"

They all started vocalizing, some dancing some sitting. Bumper slowly stepping up, intimidating other students.

"Wanna see you whip it so could treat you right."

"Give me just a minute of your time tonight."

As they continue dancing and vocalizing. I turn away as I made eye contact with the beat boxer. Lesson learnt from a long time ago, don't make eye contact with an acapella boy unless you wanna be flirted on the rest of your year.

I walk to the other stands walking past Bumper and his group. I notice the Bellas stand not gaining much attention as last year due to.. the incident. Aubrey and Chloe stood in front trying to give out flyers.

"Hi, would you like be a member of.." Aubrey drifts off as the passing people ignored her fliers, she scoffed and gave her flier to Chloe "Just keep flyering, we have a tradition to uphold."

I walk up to them, "I'll join." I state. Aubrey and Chloe looked at me. Me and Aubrey knew each other from some classes.

"Oh, (Y/N), I thought you weren't interested in joining any groups?" She said a bit surprised. I shrugged in response.

"My parents were nagging me to join something so I just figured since your close enough to be a friend to me I'll join." I explain, "Besides since the.. incident last year. I think you'll need a head start since the only people who will apply are people who are not online majority of the time or are new to the University."

Aubrey looked at Chloe who nodded, "Alright, we'll sign you up."

I smile at them before walking away, shortly after I notice Fat Amy talking with another girl in front of the Barden DJ's. That girl soon walks to the Bellas stand. I walk back around and check my phone. It's only been 30 minutes since I been here and I only applied for one group.

I was in my dorm, finishing up my side of the room, attaching the poster up on the wall and I pant. Looking at my bedsheets, my desk, my shelves and such. "This is as good as it'll ever get." I sigh then I heard he door open.

"Yeah! I'll see you around." Fat Amy shouted out the door, I chuckle. "Oh! Your back!" She smiled.

"Your making a lot of friends already." I smile at her as I stack some books.

"Always! I'm an open book." She made a book gesture with her hands.

I nod "Can you help me real quick?" I ask to which she nodded. "I need my clothes in the closet. Can you put my jackets and shit onto hangers?" I ask her.

"Yeah yeah, sure." She nodded and clapped her hands.

It's been a few days of classes, currently I was sitting on the grass, listening to music while going through pictures on my laptop. Then someone took the earbud out from my right ear then started rap into my ear of the song I was listening to. I groan knowing who it was.

"Bumper, get your trusty side kick away from me." I stated and took off my other earbud. I look at Donald as we were close to each others face.

"Hey." He smirked and I glare at him, "hi." I stated annoyed. I look at the boys behind me, Bumper grinning.

"Hey beautiful." Bumper stated, and I wince at his voice.

"That's where you got it all wrong, I was born under a bridge with two ugly goblins looking down on me." I fake smile at them all.

"Oh shit, she called her parents ugly, that's a red flag." One of the boys whistled.

"Okay, bye." I state picking up my stuff although I look at Donald. "How'd you know the song I was listening to?" I ask him.

"Just guessed." He shrugged. I hum and nod before walking away. "See you rehearsals, princess!" He added before walking away with the others.
