Casey was desperate to get to the building. With each step from each rooftop, he climbed his way all the way to the top with his grappling hook. When he finally got to the top of the tower, he spotted the key in the slot where the antenna is. He made it. He can finally grab the key and stop the invasion just in time. He lifted up his mask and began to communicate with his sensei. "Sensei, Mistress, I'm here. And I've got eyes on the key. Just tell me when you're home free and I'll pull the plug."

For a moment, Tamayori grimaced with worry as the Krang Pioeian advanced, glowing red eyes shined. The Crystal of Darkness glowed from above its head, golden cracks spreading around Meloetta's face with each damage it took. The aching pain in Tamayori's heart breaks for her, feeling that her body would be destroyed. She turned to where her siblings had fallen into the Staten Island which was covered with Druun darkness. There was no sign of them and she realized that they were turned to stone. Tears leaked down from her cheeks and turned her head to Krang Pioeian, the sound of echoing thuds from its feet made her eyes tremble. The sky above has already turned purple, making a shade of darkness which will fall upon her.

She turned her head to see Celebi in the corner, slowly getting back up and moaning, covered in scratches and wounds. The yokai coughed up blood and collapsed more, breathing heavily and out of breath. With labored breathing, Tamayori inched herself close and picked Celebi up slowly. She tried to get up but the fusion was far too weak, collapsing to her knee. Bubbles seemed to have formed on her mermaid tail along with blackened scraped scales and her arms, blood was leaking from her mouth. She looked at her left hand and saw that it had disappeared, evaporated into bubbles. She felt small, like most of her body is changing shape and shrinking, starting to resemble one of the polyps. It's probably because of the shadowy soul that is inside her chest. She's fading away into bubbles and she can't keep up this long.

She held Celebi close to her chest and wished that she was at home where she could snuggle with her Tamami doll and the velvet blankie she loved. But this wasn't the world she wanted. She looked back again at the city and thought about her family and the others. Everyone is suffering, dying and turning into stone.

She remembered that in her story, the little mermaid says goodbye to the prince and dissolves into sea foam. She was too drained to fight and there was no way she could fight that monster down. A thought struck into her head: she had to sacrifice herself to save her people. If she does that, she and Leo would disappear in the Prison Dimension and cease to exist. She knew that it was the very last day that she would have to say goodbye to her people. The familiar lines of her story began to play in her mind.

Fascinated by the world above, the Little Mermaid floated to the surface of the ocean to see the prince.

"Casey, listen to me," Tamayori answered to Casey with a desperate serious tone. "When I get to the other side, you close that door."

Casey stopped in his tracks before he could grab the key. He lowered it, and his eyes grew wide for what she said. "What? Sensei, no!"

Not only it shocked Casey, it shocked the others from the construction site and Staten Island. April dropped her bat in shock and stared at the worried and horrified Splinter and Ikioi, realizing that their own son and daughter are gonna die. Rin, Lucario, Absol, April's yokai and Elfilin share scared glances, figuring that the Krang is gonna torment them or worse.

The heart of the Mermaid was about to burst into pieces.

"Casey, it's the only way. They're too strong. Raph barely made it out from his infection and the others are not in good shape to fight. The Druun already turned them into stone when that monster knocked them off and drained their powers again. They're gone because of the Krang." Pavi gasped softly and Rudolf stepped toward the edge of the concrete, before he turned to the others. They thought that the turtle siblings died, and Leo and Shira didn't see it. Tamayori inhaled deeply before she continued. "I know this may sound serious but the truth is Raya was the one who caused everything from the start. The dragons of Kumandra died for us, trying to save humanity, but they failed. With them gone, there's no trust. And I have to save them for everything that I have. They're not gonna stay on the other side unless I keep them there."
