They had learned quickly that hiding in each others dorm rooms wasn't a very easy option. There were far too many people going in and out of the common rooms for their little secret relationship to remain as such if they decided to meet there.

So, having had too many close calls for comfort, James and Regulus's meetings were very few and far between. Of course, not counting the classes they shared or running into each other in the halls.

James kept looking for possible meeting points, keeping note of any hidden alcoves or unused classrooms that held the potential to be places for a quick snog in between classes.

As luck would have it, James's eyes caught on the posters posted around the school announcing the next Hogsmeade visit.

Excited, James rushed to his next class, transfiguration, which the Gryffindors happened to share with the Ravenclaws.

He slipped into the seat next to Pandora who smiled at him, a knowing look in her eyes.

James pulled out a piece of paper and began to write quickly, a plan forming in his head that he translated into words on the paper. He was still writing when class started, completely oblivious to what the professor was saying.

When he had finished, James rolled up the paper and handed it to Pandora underneath the table, mumbling, "for Reg."

Pandora nodded, then pointed to her textbook, "we're on page 201."

"Are you sure you can't go with us, Prongs?" Sirius whined, "you can do homework some other time."

James shook his head, standing firm with his choice, "like I said, if I don't get this paper done, McGonagall will have my head."

He had actually finished the paper late last night when the others had been fast asleep, but he figured it would be the best lie he could come up with. If the others happened to come back before James, they'd just assume he went to go grab a bite to eat or something.

Sirius deflated, "fine."

As Peter, Sirius and Remus made their way out the door, Remus paused. The other two looked back at him with questioning looks before he said, "I'll be there in a second, I just need to grab something."

After the other two had left, Remus turned to James, "how much time will you need?"

James frowned, faking confusion, "what do you mean?"

"Don't play stupid with me, James," Remus replied, his eyes narrowed, "I know you're not actually going to be working on McGonagall's paper."

They stared at each other, having a silent battle of wits.

James sighed, "you're right, i'm not."

Nodding, Lupin asked again, "so how much time do you need?"

"I don't know," James shrugged, "I doubt we'll need more than an hour, but maybe an hour and a half just in case?"

"Perfect."

"You're the best, y'know."

"I know."

James put on the invisibility cloak and tiptoed his way to the library. Luckily, a student was exiting the room as James was approaching so he was able to quickly slipped through the opening.

Regulus was sitting at a table in the back, a book in hand.

Approaching silently, James stood next to Regulus and whispered, "hey, hot stuff."

The raven haired boy jumped then scowled, his eyes searching for James, "how many times have I told you not to do that?"

"Couldn't help myself," James chuckled, "you ready?"

Regulus nodded and gathered his stuff before James took off the invisibility cloak and placed it over Regulus, concealing him from sight.

Then, James made his way out of the library, Regulus close behind him.

~

James knocked on the Gryffindor boys dorm room door, not expecting a reply but still relieve when it was silent on the other side. He pushed open the door, holding it open long enough for Regulus to follow him into the room.

Regulus went to take off the cloak but James put up his pointer finger, silently asking him to wait a moment.

James found the Marauders map underneath his pillow and sat crisscrossed on his bed.

He tapped the paper and recited, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

A quick look at the map revealed that all of his roommates were either at Hogsmeade or outside enjoying the nice weather.

James grinned and peered around the room, trying to find Regulus, "it's all clear."

Regulus took off the cloak, placing it on Jame's bed before turning to his boyfriend, "that went surprisingly well, especially considering it was your idea."

"Hey!" James protested, sticking his tongue out like a child, "my plans are wonderful."

"Sure," Regulus replied cheekily, sitting next to James on the bed.

They stared at each other for a moment, before their lips connected.

They had barely been kissing for a couple minutes when the door swung open, revealing Sirius.

All three of them froze, staring at each other.

Regulus was the first to speak, calmly asking, "what brings you back so early, brother?"

Sirius blinked, "I came back to ask if Prongs wanted me to buy him anything."

James shakily laughed but Sirius cut him off with a look, "now that question doesn't seem as important anymore. Now what I really want to know is, what the actual fuck if going on here?"

The End

Wow look at that, a longer story...

Today's ship should be posted sometime within the next couple of hours. I think I might take a small break before writing just to make sure I don't burn out before I can publish today's part...

Anyways, ty all sm for 1K views! It might not be the most i've gotten on here so far, but knowing that there are people still reading what I publish makes me happy, so tiny victories!
