She stared at the floor long forgotten by many centuries of humans residing in the building.

"Are you ok?" He asked her. The wind flowing through his slightly roughed up hair.

They didn't speak for a while, the sound of wind and light thunder filling the silenced gap between them. The obvious answer was no, but he didn't know. He couldn't tell.

She turned to look at him for the first time. A smile spread across her face, "yeah of course! come sit down with me?"

He looked at the edge, they were 50 floors above the one place he felt safe. He shook his head lightly.

"No thanks, I think I'm fine here," Her legs were dangling over the edge as the sun set across the horizon. She turned around to soak it up for another second before she arose to her feet.

He watched as she walked over to him, carefree that she could fall and die at any moment. She stuck her hand out and reached forward.

The wind still blew silently around them as he realised what was going on. He slowly reached his hand out and grabbed onto hers. Together they walked closer to what he was sure would be his demise.

She stopped about 3 metres way from the edge and sat down. His grip on her hand got tighter.

"Sit down, cmon, its alright. I promise," He stared at the horizon, shaking lightly before slumping to the ground and taking short staggered breaths.

"How do you sit on the edge like its nothing? Like theres not a chance you could fall off?" He said, his breaths slowly returning to normal as he laid flat on the floor.

She didn't reply for a while, she just stared out at the sun set. The wind once again filled the silence in the air, as it blew the cold around them.

"C'mon! How do you do it?" He ushered impatiently.

"Breathe would you? Like actually stop thinking about everything. Clear your head of every thought. Look at the sunset, feel the wind carry away your worries. Breathe, just breathe goddamit. Get through this moment, like i get through everyday, every moment. Admire the stars, breathe the life around you. Forget the worries that plague your head, forget the words that haunt you when you fuck life up. Every goddam thing they shout to you when you are down. The moments when you fuck up and they follow you through life. Just for one goddam mine would you stop worrying about life and just admire what is in from of you! The sky the stars the wind that surrounds you into a cold hug when nothing else will! for one moment would you just berate, if not for yourself, do it for me," Her breath ran out and she laid back staring at the sky. "Just for once would you lay back and forget the world with me?"

He stared at her, the silence becoming almost suffocating to him. He laid back beside her and pulled her into a tight hug. "I see."

That was all he said, that was all he had to say. Nothing else needed to be said. He knew she wasn't ok, she damn well didn't feel ok. But right now all that mattered was that they were there together under the star lit night, just forgetting the world.

Together thy lay there for what could have been a few minutes but what felt to them to be eternity.

"We should go home c'mon, its getting late."
