I was 16 when this happened. I used to live in London, till my father got a job in New York City, as a top-notch doctor in medicine.  I was so excited to move to one of the biggest, most coolest cities in the world!

As i got ready, I thought about, whom i might meet, what i would do and about the adventure that awaits me...little did i know, my adventure would have a big turn. As we boarded our plane, sat on our seats and got ready for takeoff. The instructions stated, that they expect slight turbulence, during mid-flight and landing, since the plane was built differently and,  was newest in London. I thought it was fine to have some turbulence, as it was the plane was new.

Coincidentally, I saw my friend, Mia on the same plane, so i couldn't resist giving up my seat in first class to an other passenger and i sat with her in economy class, with my parents still being in first class.

the first twenty minutes was going well until, heavy turbulence occurred. Soon it stopped after about five to ten minutes. They did state that they expect turbulence so I thought, everything was going well. (spoiler alert!: It didn't go well.). After one hour, the turbulence came back. Only, it was ten times worse. This time, I got scared.

The plane began to lose altitude and crashed. Since I wore my seat belt throughout the crash, i safely landed on a tree, with a few scratches and my seat detached from the plane, saved my life. As i climbed down the tree, I found myself, in a rather, spine-chilling environment. The beautiful moonlight falling on me, It was relaxing but also, frightening at the same time. I found a spot to sleep for the night, scared nothing should happen while I slept. When I began to settle there, miraculously , I noticed Mia, passed out, not too far away from me.I went over to her, trying to bring her back to consciousness but she didn't respond. I got her to sleep next to me with our unscrewed, flat plane seats. (I was pretty crafty).

The next morning, Mia miraculously came over and woke me up. She said "Nicole, what's going on? Is this one of your pranks, because if it is, it's not funny!". I explained everything to her. At first, she didn't believe me but, after seeing the plane bits and plane seats, we slept on, she believed me.  (If that was a prank, i could have never pulled that off)

Mia felt very anxious, though I tried my best to calm her down. I lost my phone during the crash but fortunately, Mia had her ten percent charged phone with her. We couldn't contact anyone due, to no signal but it was enough to keep track of the time and day
