Chapter 1 - Chronicles of the Superpowered Guardians

The weather is hot, there are rain droplets in the surrounding, chillness can be felt in the air, thunderstorms in the sky, the reason for this weird and abnormal weather is over there on his knees.

John on his knees breathing heavily while holding onto his chest, weather is not the only abnormal thing in the city, john’s heart beat is also abnormal to the point where even the greatest surgeon Olivia has no idea what to do with john.

“Maybe I should’ve lived the rest of my life carefree instead of taking on this mission but I can’t return home if I don’t do this right here, right now!", thought john as his life flashed before his eyes.

A few weeks ago, John was on his way to his volunteer work after eating his favorite lunch, chicken. A woman from the opposite lane driving a bicycle crossed the road without noticing the red light. A white truck approaches that woman and John saw that.

John immediately raised and waved his hands creating a small cyclone, enough to carry a human. The truck almost reached that woman and she just noticed it and started screaming, All of a sudden the cyclone John created has vanished away once John witnessed a man stopping the truck with a single punch. At this moment John was supposed to be the only one on earth with super powers but upon knowing about the existence of another super powered person, John knew something was wrong and decided to chase him.

John ran towards the truck but that man already vanished. The woman grabbed john’s arm and thanked him thinking he was the one who stopped the truck. John was a former boxer who has been boxing since the year 1920. He was known by many names like the fire flinger, iced injection, watery vengeance, wind of silence, lightning lesson, storm sensor etc. But before all this john was actually a creature from a planet far away in the universe named G-23. He had been imprisoned on earth. He doesn’t age so he always changes his identity and moves place often.

Now thanks to that super powered guy, John is in the spotlight which he doesn’t like much. He grabbed that woman and dragged her to an alley far away.

“Let go of me! I just thanked you for whatever you did back there and this is how you drag me? Oh wait a minute, are you a masked superhero or something? Did I blow your cover?”

John looked at the woman weirdly and thought to himself, “No wonder she didn’t even see that red light”. Unfortunately John has been caught up with this woman who believes super heroes are real, so he decided to handle her with care.

“Hear me out lady, what you saw back there, that wasn’t me. Someone is out there with that tremendous strength and I just found out. Right now I need to hurry back home so I can proceed with this thing. Forget what you saw today, especially me and move on.”

John left the place and went straight to his home and searched for something. “Here, is this what you are looking for?”, asked that woman John met a while ago. “Yeah this is it! With this treasure I can summon my- wait a minute! How the hell did you get in here!”, yelled John.

“Did you really think that I would just forget this intergalactic type of shit that just happened and go to my hospital to do surgeries? I followed you home and you left the door open which is convenient for me.” Said the woman.

John is flabbergasted and shocked to come across a woman like her but he had to focus on the bigger picture so first he grabbed the plastic plant that the woman found. “Thanks for finding this, now get out so I can talk to my master in peace”, said John.

“No! I don’t want to. Introduce me to your master too. I liked this super heroes stuff from my childhood and I always imagined things like that happened on the road and now they are real but you want me to get out? No wa- wait, why am I sweating so much? Why is the temperature suddenly rising, you…”

“You are right. Now get the hell out unless you wanna get deep fried.”

John once again raised his hands to create a small cyclone and used it to throw that woman outside. John held his hand above the plastic plant and sprayed water on it from his hands. The plastic plant was actually an Interplanetary Holography which he brought along with him to earth and kept it safe till now because it can be used only once.

John’s master appeared as a hologram. “John? Is that you? Are you still alive?”, asked the third pillar, john’s master. “I can’t even say whether you are glad to see me alive or now but that’s not the issue. It’s been many centuries since I came to earth and today I witnessed something that may have to do with why I came to the earth. I saw a man with the power of super strength", said John.

G-23 is a planet far away in outer space where the people follow a single god named namuh. History says that namuh has given super natural powers to three people and made them his guardians. The powers could be transferred from generation to generation or taught. Those three people are the pillars of G-23. On some day The scientists from G-23 found out that upon entering the planet earth a G-23 being might get a random super power due to some radiations. But they never experimented it by sending someone there.

“So the history was right all along? We do really get powers on entering earth. But what about you John? The scientists also said the pillars won’t get new powers and will have the same ones.”, said the third pillar.

“I Don’t know why but I still have the third pillar’s powers you taught me but it grew weaker as years passed. Do you think the guy I saw could be one of those five?”, asked John.

The third pillar has been given the job to execute five criminals in the past but at that time the third pillar was mourning his wife’s death. He had already lost his son and now his wife too which shook him a lot and the criminals used that and escaped from that planet. John took the fall for his master and got imprisoned on earth instead of the third pillar. Now by the looks of it, the criminals from the past may have actually escaped to earth and now are on earth with powers.

“There are possibilities John, I want you to do me a favor. Investigate if those five are really on earth and if yes... Kill them all and I promise to bring you back home.”, said the third pillar.

“Kill them? With my minimized powers? It’ll be a tough mission master, I can’t do this alone, not here.”, said John.

The hologram started to glitch, indicating the time is up. “You can do it John, remember the things I taught you and after all they got your ba-“, said the third pillar as the hologram ended.

After thinking for a while John decided to take on this mission because this may be the only chance that’ll get him home. John decided to sleep early because he’ll have to use his powers more tomorrow and just as he expected the next day he got a problem at his door step. When John was about to leave his house he heard a thud in his front door. John opened the door with caution and it’s that woman from yesterday, she grabbed onto John and asked John to help her.

“Why are you bleeding women? Did you run away from the surgery or something?”, asked John.

“I actually had a camera on my bicycle yesterday recording everything and when I saw that yesterday after you threw me out I found out it was really not you who saved me, so I posted that video online to find that person and thank him.”, said that woman.

“You are one weird kind of bi-“, As john was about to finish his sentence he noticed a man coming at them with his fist, So John pushed away that woman and took that punch.

A single punch from that man threw John away fifty meters, John landed on his knees and wiped out the blood from his mouth and faced his hand towards the ground then blew wind from his hands to give him a push to jump towards that man. That super powered man went towards that woman.

“You had the audacity to post my face online and now are you planning to go house by house to show everyone? I’ll kill you right no-“

As the man was talking John came from above and gave him a punch in the face with an ice fist. The man got frozen in ice. John created his little cyclone again and carried that woman in that.

“What’s your name woman?” “Olivia, is the wind carrying me?” “Listen Olivia, I’m grateful for bringing this man here but you shouldn’t get involved in this anymore, he won’t be frozen for too long so get the hell out of here.”

As John finished talking and sent Olivia away that man unfroze and grabbed john’s collar and lifted him. “You! Who the hell are you?”, questioned that man. “Me? Your death!”.

John sent out heat waves from his body for which that man reacted and released John. John pointed all his fingers towards that man and shot bullets made out of water continuously.

“Wind, ice, fire, water? Don’t tell me, you are… no way! That can’t be and it won’t be. I’ll kill you for good now!” said that man.

“Thanks to my master’s training I can take that first punch, any other normal human would have been left with a hole in their stomach. But I don’t think I can take another punch from him, not in my current state. I got to handle this with caution.”, thought John.

“You can’t be him, you look so weak and it looks like one more punch from me, will kill you for sure. After all I’m the strongest being in the world, except Mathew stark of course.”, said that man.

“Mathew stark? He was the leader of those five criminals, my mission is clear now. I can finally go all out.”, thought John.

There is a change in john’s eyes, his eyes are now filled with anger and the intention to kill. John made himself fly in the air and raised his arm up. “Silent storm: multiple lightning strike”, said John. The clouds became darker and the roar of lightning began, multiple lightning attacked that man in a flash.

John fell down from above and started to have a hard time breathing. The woman John sent away a while ago came back to John. John thought he won and it’s over. “As I said before, you really are one weird type of bit-“, it was not over actually.

As the smoke cleared up, that man came out walking with severe injuries John caused. John immediately locked in and created a fire and ice clone of himself which ran towards that man and blasted. Despite being half burned and frozen that man still continued to walk towards them.

“One punch… just one punch is all it takes and he’ll be done. I must endure all this for that one punch”, thought that man as walking towards them.

John’s heart beat began to act abnormal and he started to have a much hard time breathing, even the greatest surgeon Olivia has no idea what’s wrong with John. The man showed up in front of john and said, “You are one strongest foe, I Gabriel will never forget you as long as I live”.

That man lifted his fist and punched John with all he got. The place became smoky again due to the impact. Olivia stood there shocked and thinking that the strongest she knew was defeated in a few minutes.

The smoke cleared up and a voice heard, “If you think john is defeated then you must be dreaming”. Another voice heard saying, “Where there is john, the battle is won”. John looked up and said, “your time is up now, Gabriel”.
