We all waited for Ashlynn to say something

Ashlynn:...we uh-

Ashlynn stands up and turn on the lamp beside the couch

Ashlynn: do you... Notice anything weird about my shadow?

Ashlynn's parents look at her in confusion trying to figure out what she's saying

Ashlynn's mom: well- not uh... Not particularly, no?

All of us stayed silent

Ashlynn: that's how he got bruise on his cheek. I told him that you guys could probably teach him some self-defense but, he's a little anxious to learn on his own, so we offered to learn with him. If you don't mind could you teach them the basics?

Ashlynn's dad: ... I mean, I don't mind-

Ashlynn's mom: me neither... sounds pretty fun actually.

After we talk to her parents we head to the bus in the graveyard

Tyler: don't you think it's tad ironic that we chose this place as our shelter because of the high walls, yet now we have to fortify these walls?

Aiden: yeah, well we didn't exactly predict that the phantoms could scale a concrete, thirteen-foot wall. Y/n taking too long outside, it's getting boring. I'll go and check on her

Aiden walks out of the bus and easily found me at the roof of the bus, he climb up then sat beside me

Aiden: hey, you ok?

I didn't respond to his question, my face still buried on my arms and knees

Aiden: what happened?

I lifted my head and look at him, my eyes still filled with tears that I have been holding for a while

Aiden:?... Put that sad mouth upside down

He pulls my cheeks up making my frown smile but when he lets go it turn to frown

"Just leave me alone, Aiden" looks away

Aiden: oh...sorry

He gets down from the bus as he process the words I said. He never heard those words from me, he got inside the bus. He sat down looking at the ground

Tyler: what happened to dolly face?

Aiden: she's just crying and said to leave her alone

Tyler: oh...never heard of her saying to leave her alone

Aiden: your just worried about her

Tyler: no I'm not! Embarrassed
