The Book of Emerald

He only went by the name given to him; Aaron. They called him so as a ten-year-old with no name, at the time, and no ID. How could he know any better, a random name would have sufficed, a lie was better than none. And so he went by the name seeing as there was no choice anyway. He was put under soon after. The adults with him said it was a procedure that they all went through before admission and was used to keep control over them. A team of doctors put some weird pure diamonds into them keeping them tame for it seemed to have a power within them. All Aaron knew was to not ever step foot out of the white square that they placed surrounding them. They were all given food and beds with blankets and pillows before people who got picked were tidied up before they left with a new outfit. Aaron didn't have a clue why though, what did that mean, maybe it was for the best that he didn't know. One day a team of noble and household managers came and pointed out randomly from the group of people in the shelters and took them with them. He wondered why, where were they headed to? According to a smelly guy in the corner square, they were called Escorts and they were sent to attend to the house of the wealthy, but they always get sent back eventually.

Aaron was completely lost and didn't even know where he came from or how he ended up there, "must've not been important," said the dirty-looking lady next to the smelly guy. Aaron was the youngest person there followed closely by a boy with freckles on his face. He had wide brown eyes and seemed to look somewhat older than him. There also was a teenager about 19 who was a small mousey-looking thing. She didn't talk much but she made a squeaking noise, every now and again but only on the occasion that someone new would try to talk to her.

One person of the crew of people on the outside came up to the glass compartment they were in and stared before her lavender eyes spotted Aaron. Their nose was skinny and long, their bottom lip was large with a tiny upper lip. Their plaid patterned hat that rested on top of their head, had some sort of veil attached to it. They were completely, "blinged out," as one would say. Their pale-colored clothes nearly contrasted the hat. Before Aaron could ask questions the person in pale colors talked fast about something Aaron could not make out clearly, it was almost like Aaron didn't speak that language fluently. They pointed the glass in a tapping noise. Aaron sat and watched as a protector opened the glass door. They took Aaron and headed swiftly to the exit, the two of them spoke rather fast to each other. as though they were doing some sort of transaction. It wasn't long before Aaron came to find that his guess was factual, would be the start of his never ending nightmare
