The Demon's Blossom

Akane Katsuragi, an 18-year-old, living in the jungle of Kurenai, Japan. She was a hardworking young lady, who was know for her modesty and was soon to be married. Akane lived with her two big sisters and three little brothers and a sickly but positive mother. Their family weren't rich nor were the poor but they just wanted a peaceful and enjoyable life.

One fateful night, as the moonlit shimmer entered their rooms, they all heard a loud bang on their door. Akane and all her siblings, rushed outside to encounter their mother's dead body being eaten up by a deadly creature. The creature's body was on top of Akane's Mother and there is was tearing flesh from it. The creature then attacked Akane and her siblings. And to Akane's sorrow, she not only lost her mother, but also her 4 dearest siblings. The pain, the sorrow, made Akane loose it. She pounced at the creature and managed to kill it. She had slewed the creature but her body was deeply injured, making her unconscious.

The next day, Akane woke up. Realising she's not at her estate, she got frightened.

"Oh it seems like you have woken up."

"W-Who are you?!"

"Don't worry, I was the one who had saved you from your estate last night."

The flashback of loosing her family returned. Tears srteamed down her cheeks.

"Now now, don't cry, I know it is hard but don't cry."

"How can I not cry?! I lost everyone. First my father, now my whole family. Why is this world so cruel?!"

She broke down.

"There are many, who lost their loved ones. And you're one of them. So don't let them take your emotions. It is hard, but let go. Now there, tell me what's your name?"

"K-Katsuragi Akane."

"Nice to meet you Akane-chan. I am Sakonji Urokodaki."

Akane's eyes widened on hearing the name. Urokodaki Sakonji the former Water Hashira, had once saved her little brother as well.

"You... Thank you."

"No problem Akane-chan."

"Sakonji-San, thank you for saving me. But what even was that creature?"

"That creature was a demon."

"Demon? They don't exist."

"They do Akane-chan, they do."

"How?"

"Let me tell you."

Urokodaki told Akane about the demon and the demon slayers, the 12 kizuki's and the Demon King.

"Oh my. I never knew."

"Yes, Akane-chan."

Urokodaki noticed Akane's eye. It was a bit different. He teeth were also a bit pointy. At that point Urokodaki realized Akane had turned into a Demon.

"Akane-chan, you're eyes look different."

"What?"

"Yes, I believe you had ingested a bit of demon blood while fighting the demon."

"Really...I-"

She was again going to cry when Sakonji cuts her off.

"Don't worry Akane-chan, you will be safe."

"Urokodaki-san, will you teach me how to slay demons?"

Urokodaki's eyes widened.

"Hai...Akane-chan..."

Akane smiled, with tears of pain and peace in her eyes.

After one week, Akane was finally able to walk. She could finally start her training.

Six months passed.
