Into The Pit

Oswald was sitting in the car with his father, they were talking about how their town was boring. Three years ago, when Oswald was seven, it wasn't like that before. The town offered Cinema, arcade,  ice cream, but then the local factory had closed. Many people lost their jobs because of it, and many families have moved out of the town, including Oswald's friend's family. Oswald's family has stayed in the town, because Oswald's mother worked in the local hospital, and they also didn't want to leave their granny.

But Oswald's dad had to work a part-time job at a place called 'Snack Place'. It was the last day of school, and everyone in Oswald's class was discussing what they were going to do on holiday. Oswald didn't go to any camp, or on a vacation like the others, though, so he just listened. So that Oswald wouldn't have such a boring holiday, his father offered him that on a way to work, he would drop him to the library. Oswald liked this idea, so he agreed to it, of course. Morning was the only time he could hug his mother, he always woke up to the smell of bacon and coffee that his mom made in the morning. After eating breakfast from his mother Oswald and his father drove to the library.

Apart from reading books, Oswald also liked pizza. So he went to Jeff's Pizzeria and he bought a slice of cheese pizza. Jeff's Pizzeria was a little scary- it's owner, Jeff, was also scary. There was a little stage in the pizzeria, which wasn't used for a long time. Apart from the stage, there was a pit with plastic balloons inside, so Oswald could calmly read there.That day, the pizza wasn't sold completely and Jeff offered Oswald a few slices for free. But after the free pizza was brought her got a message from his father, that he will pick him up in two minutes.

The next day, Oswald wasn't in the mood, even his mother's pancakes didn't help. He argued with his dad in the car. He didn't enjoy living a poor life, just because his family doesn't want to move. He read only a few books and magazines in the library and he watched videos on YouTube. At lunch time, he went to get a slice of cheese pizza and soda again. Oswald has decided, that he will hide from his father because of the argument. As a hideout, he found the pit with balloons. The pit was old, unused, and most importantly dusty. When Oswald dived in it, he coughed because the dust got in his nose. He was submerged in it and he waited for his father to search for him.

Suddenly, he heard a child laugh. Someone bumped into him, a boy of the same age as him. They both introduced each other and Oswald found out his name was Mike. He also found out that he isn't in Jeff's Pizzeria. He was in a pizzeria, for sure, but not in Jeff's. Children were running around. On the small podium, which he thought was out of order, were standing three human looking animatronics- a bunny, a bear and a duck. Oswald was surprised that there were old gaming arcades everywhere. But Mike didn't get his surprise, because the games weren't old. They have the newest ones in Freddy Fazbear's. He offered Oswald to play some games with his friend, Chip. Oswald didn't really care, sure he could play with some kids, even though they're actually from the past years.

Oswald noticed a man in a yellow bunny costume. It was the only employee of the pizzeria who had a costume. After some while of playing, he decided to come back to his time. He decided to do it the same way he got here. He dived into the balloon pit, counted to one hundred and he got up to the dusty Jeff's Pizzeria. He got a message on his phone, that his father will pick him up in two minutes.

The next day his mother was surprised to see him so happy. Of course he couldn't tell her that a pit with plastic balloons in Jeff's Pizzeria makes him travel in time. So Oswald kept his mother in confusion. He kept in touch with Chip and Mike the other days. They both called him 'Os'. Sometimes, they had differences between them. Oswald didn't know almost nothing about cinematography from the 80s. They ate pizza together, they talked about the animatronics on the podium and about the man in the yellow bunny costume. On the way to the library like every time, he asked his father how old he was in 1985, which was the year he traveled to meet his new friends. His father didn't really want to talk about it and he was happy when he dropped Oswald off the car.

Today was different. When Oswald emerged from the pit, he heard a scream. It didn't look the same as before. He searched for Chip and Mike everywhere around the pizzeria. As he was looking through the rooms, he found something- horrifying. A room with six corpses of children the same age. Police sirens were heard from the outside. As Oswald was looking around, the yellow bunny jumped at him. Immediately, he ran back to the pit. He wished that he would get back in his time. He woke up from the balloon pit when his father, angry at him, took him out of the pit. Suddenly, yellow hands emerged from the pit, which pulled Oswald's father down. The yellow bunny emerged from the pit. He walked with Oswald to the car. Oswald didn't understand why Jeff didn't help him, because he saw the whole situation with his father. He didn't understand even more where his father went when he was now sitting in the passenger's seat in his father's car next to the yellow bunny.

The bunny drove him all the way home. Oswald quickly jumped out of the car and he ran into his room and he sent his mother a message that something was happening with his dad. His mom called him but Oswald answered that he can't talk right now, because he heard that the yellow bunny was in his house. After a long time Oswald heard knocking on the door. It was his mother, who scolded him a little for disrupting her at work. He actually interrupted her for no reason, because nothing was happening. His father, by the words of his mother, was watching the television in their room. In the morning, Oswald asked his mother, where his father is. His mother answered that his father was sitting facing him. But- there was a yellow bunny facing him. After breakfast, he drove to school with the yellow bunny, who didn't answer any of his questions. He never heard him talk. He tried to talk to him like he does with his dad. He told him that he will take the bus after school, that he didn't have to pick him up.

He didn't really pay attention at school, but at least he found himself a new friend. It was her first day in his school.  Like he told the yellow bunny, he took the bus after school to get home. When he was in his room, the yellow bunny randomly stood in his doorway and stared at him. He ate dinner with him, though, a frozen pizza. The thing which was supposed to be his father didn't eat. It just looked at the other side of the table, at Oswald. It was time to do something. At night time, Oswald went to the room of his parents, where he saw the yellow bunny staring at the ceiling. He didn't know if he was asleep. He sneaked out of the house into Jeff's Pizzeria. Luckily, it was still open. He ordered soda and he went to look in the balloon pit. He found a body there. He had a feeling it was dead, but he still tried to pull it out.

Suddenly he felt the presence of something evil. It was the yellow bunny. Before the attack of the yellow bunny, he managed to bump his head in him to make him lose balance. The bunny got taken aback a little, but right after, he pushed Oswald to the wall and he wanted to bite into his neck with his fangs. Luckily he bit only Oswald's arm. Oswald shouted at him to let him alone. He took advantage of the mesh embracing the pit and he climbed on the bunny's back. Bunny tried to get rid of him, of course. He threw him to the ground. Oswald was exhausted already. Fortunately, he saw the bunny get tangled in the mesh above the balloon pit during the fight. He was choking and he couldn't get out. After the zero movement from the bunny, Oswald blinked and the costume was suddenly empty. Oswald's father woke up, and he didn't understand what he was even doing there. Oswald has made up that he lost his consciousness. They got out from Jeff's Pizzeria and they talked like they normally did. But Jeff brought him the soda he forgot in the pizzeria.
