CHAPTER 16

~ Jungkook's POV ~

"Give us a moment," I looked down at Tzuyu who looked terrified.

Her face is pale and her lips are parted but she's holding her tears back without letting them out. Hearing me, she immediately glanced at me. She hesitated for a while but eventually nodded at me as she turned to leave. I just don't want her to hear the things that Grandpa is going to tell. It can be so hurtful to her. After she walked away slowly, I paid my complete attention to Grandpa. The veins in his forehead are visible and his jaws are clenched which explains his fury to me.

"Are you out of your mind?"

His words attacked me without a hint of hesitation. He growled at me as he took a step closer to me. I sighed and remained calm without bothering myself to say anything. I respect him a lot and I don't want to argue with him. I know that I made a mistake by marking Tzuyu without telling him about anything but that doesn't matter, Grandpa always asked me to find a Luna and I just found my one. As I was silent, he grabbed me from the collar of my shirt.

"What kind of fucking stupid brain do you have to bring that surrogate here Jungkook? And you even mark her? What kind of spell did she cast on you?" What can I say? I just have nothing to say. I stared at my grandpa not knowing what to say. I made him upset by doing this but I just wanted her. I need her. She's both my mate and my son's mother.

There's nothing wrong with her. She's a good woman. My silence must have angered Grandpa even more. He again grabbed me by my collar and growled. This is the very first time he's treating me like this.

I've lived for twenty-seven years and this is the first time he's growling at me like this. I clenched my jaws and remained silent because I was in no position to disrespect him or talk back to him. Even though I could do it, I will never do it. He's the person who raised me. He was both my mother and father. I raised myself to be a strong man and I'm standing like this here today all thanks to him. I closed my eyes and inhaled a sharp breath before parting my lips to speak, however, he interrupted me.

"I didn't find a surrogate for you to gain this as a result! If you were longing to sleep with her, do it and keep her as a mistress! I can't accept her as the new Luna! Fix this mistake you've made and send her away!" His words made me think about Tzuyu's face. How can I do that to her? I've been regretting for years and I don't want another regret. I just like her so much. No. More like I love her. I let my tightened heart relax for a bit before I began to speak.

"I can't do it, grandpa. I just can't let her go now. She's Ayaan's mom and he needs her." I replied, making him slap hard across my face. I never thought he would be this serious and furious about this matter. Fuck! His slap hurt me. He had never slapped me before. When I was a kid, I used to annoy him, running away from home to the forest. He had shouted at me but never slapped me or acted like this.

"I paid her money! She sold her child and saved her sister! What the hell are you saying? She only gave birth to Ayaan for money! She's not suitable to be here as his mother. Where was your brain when you marked her? I never thought you would be so greedy for a woman's body!" His insults stabbed my heart. It was not about her fucking body. Her body is great and pleasurable but that's none of concern to this matter. I wanted her because she was my mate and my son's mother.

"She's my mate, grandpa." I finally let out the truth that I was hiding in my chest for so long. His face is ashen. He let go of my shirt and stared at me for a while before lowering his head. He said nothing more. He fell into a deadly silence. I know this is shocking because I never mentioned to him about Tzuyu being my mate when I first met her years ago. If she was just a surrogate, I wouldn't have taken her here. I wouldn't have suffered alone for not keeping her here with me.
