"Come on Leo!" I yelled over my shoulder, as I ran acrossed the field with my best friend. "Chiron said it was important!"
"I'm coming!" The curly haired boy panted in reply. "Slow down some, Speedy Gonzalez!" I giggled but kept running.
It didn't take us long to get to the Big House at our pace. At least, not from the lake. We hung out there every other day. And when we weren't there, the two of us were in Bunker 9; experimenting or building things for our friends.
Once we got closer to the door, I let Leo catch up. We walked towards Chiron laughing and cracking jokes. I looked over at Chiron, and saw that he was talking to Nico Di Angelo. I stumbled and my eyes widen as I fell.
Leo quickly and carfuly helped me to my feet. "You always know how to make an entrance," he whispered gently. I shoved him playfully.
"Yes," Chiron chuckled. "This is true young one."
Embarrassed, I blushed and apologized. Leo set his hand on my shoulder.
"So what's this thing about a quest?" Leo asked, he must have been eavesdropping.
Nick had stopped talking once we came into view.
He was probably trying to stop himself from laughing at you.
Shut up.
You're embarrassing to be around, not exactly a pretty sight to see either.
I whimpered.
"Are you alright, Alliyah?" Chrion asked, looking a little worried. I nodded distantly.
I felt a nudge at my shoulder, it was Leo. I smiled, once again...it was fake.
"Alright," Chiron began. "So there has been news about wizards-"
"Sons and daughters of Hecate?" Leo interrupted.
"Erm, in a way," he tried to continue. "It seems they want to go to war-"
"War?" Leo asked, pulling a couple JollyRanchers out of his pocket. "What did we ever do to them?" He gave me the blue one, my favorite kind, and I popped it in my mouth.
"Well, if you would quit interrupting,"he muttered in an annoyed tone. "I'll tell you. You see, we have an... misunderstood past with them. The ones that know we exist, think we are either unnatural, powerless, or pointless." He finished leaving room for questions.
"Oh, I'll show them powerless," Leo grumbled angrily. "After I burn off their-"
"Leo!" I interrupted him this time, as I poked his side with my elbow. "We get the point." He grinned sheepishly.
Chiron didn't get it.
"Go on, Chiron," Nico urged, finally saying something.
"Right," Chiron started slowly, glancing back at Leo skeptically. "I'm sending you three, on a quest." Leo pumped his fist. "To London."
I was shocked. I have never been so far away from camp, I haven't been so far away from home, period. "London?"
"Ah, yes," Chiron said warily. "There is a wizarding school there. I need you to find out as much as you can about the war, and the wizards, as you can. And report back to me via Iris Message."
Leo saluted Chiron goofily. "Consider it done my good man-er-horse- um-"
"You guys need to leave now, Argus is ready up front." Chiron said glaring at Leo.
"Right," I said. The. The three of us walked our separate ways to our cabins.
I have been at Camp Half-Blood for...around six years. I made my way up to the Posedien cabin, and knocked on the door. Just to make sure Percy wasn't 'busy', if you know what I mean. I did NOT want to walk in on my brother in that situation.
"Come in!" Percy yelled distantly. I rushed in and immediately started packing my bag. I was putting a spare pair of clothes in the bag, when Percy came out of the bathroom, wet and shirtless, only wearing a pair of pants.
"Whoa, hey, where do you think your going?" He asked urgently, blue eyes wide.
"On a quest, didn't Chiron tell you?" I asked innocently.
"Huh-Uh," was his reply. "What for?"
" Top secrect," I said, as I packed a small blanket. I jumped up on to my bed and gave his forehead a quick peck. He groaned
"Fine, who all is going with you?" He asked, shoulders tense.
"Leo and Nico," I answered simply.
" No girls?"
"Nope."
"No satyrs?"
"Huh-Uh."
He paused. "I'm coming with you." He stated. I whined.
"But you always come with me," I pouted.
" Yeah because you my only, and favorite, little sister." He said protectively. "AND it's my job to protect you from hormonal, teenage boys."
I rolled my eyes. " I'll be fine Perc, trust me."
"It's them I dont trust..." He grumbled.
" I will be fine big brother," he sighed and we hugged.
"Okay... But I want to lend you something." He emphasized the lend. And he pulled out a ball point pen. Not just any pen, Riptide. Percy's famous sword, Dad's sword.
I gasped. "You're... You're giving me Riptide?"
"Lending," he corrected. "But yeah, yo keep you safe. Or to teach the boys a lesson if they try anything."
I stuffed the pen in my pocket and hugged my brother tightly. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou! You're the bestest big brother ever!!"
"Pfft, I dont know about that." I rolled my eyes and smiled at him. We finished packing my back pack together. And he hugged me once again.
Maybe for the last time.
Would you shut up, like, forever?
Percy ruffled my hair and he politely pulled out of the hug. "Be safe." I smiled and nodded my head knowingly.
"Let's get this party started!" Leo whooped, announcing his presence.
Percy glared at him. "You promise to keep her safe?"
Leo stared at Percy with honesty. I have never seen Leo so serious in his life. "I promise." Then he grinned at me. He pulled me away and called behind him. "Bye Squirtle!"
And we raced to the Hades cabin.Hey! This is my first story and first chapter! I hope you liked it. And if you have any title suggestions or anything, please private message me! Thank you! ʚɞ ʚ♡ɞ
