For years I've been wishing to go to the Pride march, but I've never got the chance, until yesterday, we woke up early, and then left. When we arrived, we were in the middle of about 15 salesmen, all who were selling pride merch, it was strange, I never had been surrounded with so much color, at first, I was happy, but at the end, I reminded myself that, at the end of the march, they would stop selling this items, for them, we were just another costumer, and that's all right, but it didn't make me feel all right.

We had to walk a while to reach the starting point, and had to wait a while longer for it to start. When it did, thousands of different people started to walk, all so different, but all united. There were drags, nudist and overall extravagant representations of the community, but there were also just people, kids, mothers and fathers, couples who were just happy to be able to kiss their other half without receiving hatefull stares.

And, even tho, we were all so close, bumping and stepping on others, we were all so apologetic and polite, it was almost an outer world experience, normally at the subway (or other overpopulated places), we would bump into others and get no apology, or we would get angry stares or get swear at, it was nice.

I was able to take some photos with a transgender girl and some drag queens, all who, again, were kind and, just overall, exited to be there.

Sadly, we weren't able to stay longer, as we wanted, but the walk had left us exhausted, so, we took the subway and left, and immediately, we didn't feel welcomed anymore, my mother, who was wearing a diadem with pride flags, started to get nasty looks, were in the march, we were just part of the crowd, just as normal as them.

And, I suddenly felt so irrelevant, for us, the thousands of hundred of people we saw and interacted with that day, could represent the whole world, but for the rest of the world? We were just a small percentage; one it could do without.
