-"It looks like...This was some sort of setup?"

The detective facepalmed and sat down on her chair. CC and Cairo sitting still in front of her, though something was odd in them. It was the Tension...

Neither did Cairo hesitate to hold CC's hand nor did she. As if there was an invisible wall between them, separating them for a life-time. Even if they didn't try holding onto each other's hands, clearly it didn't mean they didn't wanted to. They Did, They Both Did...

-"Okay, listen you two. I can't really guarantee what's really happening at the moment and as you two aren't talking to each other, there's no point in sitting down and wasting time..."

-"It will be better if you two go home, while I will try to find out the mysteries behind the two sudden murders. Till then, I hope you two get along Soon.."

Riley murmured the words out and went out, leaving Walker and Sweet, Alone in the office. Normally if they were alone, a lot of kisses were shared between the two. But today, it was different. Cairo and CC didn't even share eye-contact, let alone kisses.

Despite them both feeling Guilt, CC felt the most. This girl was tough and strong from the Outside, but from Inside...She Was Fragile. Cairo was bold in holding onto disappointments and desperations, but CC was not even close to those. She had a heart which was too delicate to be real.

Fidgeting with fingers and shaking legs, CC tried to form words but it was so hard for the Player. Only she felt it. Cairo on the other hand stared at a bench, never blinking. Her legs crossed underneath to avoid the the shivering and nervousness.

-"Is there something you two are waiting for?...I will check the cameras and let you know. Both of you can leave now"  The Detective nodded them a signal. Cairo immediately stood up, but Walker was fast enough to hold onto her hand, Riley went silent. Cairo harshly pulled away and dashed out, without a word.

A slight tear ran down CC's eyes, as she helplessly sat on her chair, sighing in frustration. Riley witnessing from her sit, watching the girl amaze her mind with anxiety and rage.
-"Fuck...ugh!" CC cursed under her breathe.

-"...I know that I shouldn't interfere in this sort of matters as its none of my business but, I think you should go after her and apologize...perhaps there can be a spark of light?"

CC looked at the woman and then after a couple of seconds she stood up, releasing her frustration at bit, She whispered hoarsely -"You're right Detective. This is none of your business"

Walker ran outside, passing everyone. During her run, she could feel nothing but the guilt burning in her even more, yet Nervousness had the best of her, Everyone's pace slowing down, distance feeling like it's increasing every time CC took a step.

Crashing with the door and opening it, the cold breeze hit her face, making her breathe hitch. She looked around, dead leaves roaming around, scratching on the ground, blowing away with the breeze.

-"Cairo!" The girl shouted her name. CC repeated the act twice and still no sign...
Now the only thing that surrounded her mind was-

Hopeless, Hopeless, Hopeless.

CC pressed her palm on her forehead, her eyes searching for the only person she needs now.
She couldn't find her, How Pathetic...
